I have an Epson Stylus DX8400 its about 2 1/2 years old and its brilliant!! It scans and copies too which is so useful in crafting :) and the inks are reasonable. The only problem is it is a bit bulky.

    Love your cards mrs! xxx

Rainmac hope your boys are feeling a bit better? xx

Haven't had a chance to catch up on posts since last night. My DS was horrible last night, then DD started and had me up most of the night! Then after having a bad morning before getting to bunbuns I had a good day, followed by a horrible afternoon followed by a selfish mum of mine on the phone  I promise to catch up soon when I have calmed down!

Thanks Dragonllew. Well, OH has been encouraging me to put it through the bug even though it's so hard, I've made him promise to buy me a new one if it breaks :rotfl: .

Did you cut yours into the different sections so you're only using one die at a time? What if you want to make a frame, you'd need two of the dies, does it cut OK then? And did you take the white foam bits out of the holey bits? Sorry for so many questions.

Hi sorry for the delay in answering but have been at work I have cut mine into different sections haven't really made frames yet with them I did have a quick play with them and still seem to have to turn them round and put them back through the bug didn't seem to be a problem as the card was stuckto the dies so didn't move and no I haven't taken the foam out of the holes.

Hi Ladies, Am I a mind reader or what? Sorry to hear you have having problems with the NS dies. Hope my post today has helped, if not can you leave me a comment and then I will try to sort it out. It's such a shame if you can't use these lovely dies!

I have been back to visit to let you know how I was doing with the BC cards you so kindly donated. Perhaps I left the message in the wrong place? I find this forum a bit difficult to follow! At the moment the fund stands at £282 with a few more to sell. Thanks for your generous gifts.

I also have read that Marg contacted me with a link, but I never received that, so sorry Marg. I have replied to TomsMum following a comment left about these dies. I have been having all sorts of problems since before Christmas with what turned out to be a very nasty virus kindly sent to me by some lovely person!! What makes them do it? I have just about sorted out my IT with new equipment and hope things will be okay from now on. Sorry if I have seemed to be ignoring you, your messages and mine seem to be going adrift somewhere. I will visit again and try to come to terms with the forum. Please contact me if you need more advice on the NS dies. ikki x
  • Tomsmum - I'm a bit late to this. I use the upside down sandwich of A B Card Die C - I've also used an extra piece of card to pad it a bit. I split the dies up and just nestle one inside the other for the frames. I've had a couple of occasions where it hasn't cut right through but I've still been able to get the shape out OK. I didn't take the foam bits off!

Flourgirl - sorry to hear about your rubbish trip to Ikea.

Rusty - god job you had the nice bit with Bunbun in the middle!

Rainmac - hope the littlies are on the mend soon.

May actually have some time for a wee blog hopping tonight!

Hi Ikki - I have left a comment on your blog asking the question about the NS dies, as of at the moment (19.40) I can't see a reply but a couple of the ladies on here have said they haven't taken the foam bits out of the decorative cut outs which is what my question was. I'll have to have another play.

With the messages going adrift - I'm wondering if you've set your preferences to receive email notification of replies on the thread and to PMs. It takes a bit of getting used to.

ETA: Ignore me Ikki, I've just found where you've mentioned about the white foam bits. I think I'm having a bad day!

Thanks Glittermum. It was the foam bits that I was wondering about most as I'd sussed the sandwich. OH was adamant that they should come out and I was telling him I'd not seen it anywhere where it says that.

The original NS instruction which is in the booklet I bought shows Circle Die 001 and the whole of the cutting side is covered in white foam and it says to remove alternate rings of foam from the die but to leave the outside edge. My die (005) isn't covered all over with foam, nor is the rectangle 008, just the little decorative cut out bits. These bits have been removed in the pictures in the booklet but the rest of the foam round the circle has been left. No wonder I'm confused :rotfl: .
