Hope everyone's ok today. I'm taking DS1 to a party later and then it's ironing, ironing, ironing for me. Am half way through making a nappy cake too. I really want some time to make some cards, I'm getting withdrawl sympoms cos haven't made many lately:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hels - what a lovely idea - and lovely bits on your blog.
Polly - your latest (and all the others really!) card is gorgeous.
Mary - the street sale sounds great fun - what bargains did you find?
My boys are all out on a bike ride at the moment and I've got dinner waiting - along with a new friend - my first ever sock monkey! I quite enjoyed it but myfingers are a bit sore as I don't have a sewing machine! I have to make at least one more though - there's no way the boys will share!

cardpaperscissors wrote: »CandyB101 - re Cuttlebug plates - My plates are really marked too. I think it's a good idea to try and keep one plate as the die-cutting one and the other for when you're embossing. I managed this quite well until my daughter was making a card involving lots of die-cut lettering and she mixed the plates. Both my 'B's look dreadful now but still working! Also, if you have any nestabilities you have to use the 'C' plate - again you need to be v. careful to lay them the correct way. My first go was fine and the second go I got it wrong and my nestie was stuck in the plate. Luckily it came out fairly easily.CPS
I managed to find a guide on the net ..... never thought it would be so confusing .... or is that just me :rotfl:A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Candy keep this link to ikki's cuttlebug cupboard here she's a very knowledgeable lady with anything to do with Bugs. I often have a look at whats she's doing as she is very helpful with the spellbinders dies (nesties) I don't have a bug but I do find her very good source of info. Ikki can tell you the different 'sandwiches' to make for your Bug so you don't go wrong . But........ we all make mistakes with our die cutting machines, I've made some corkers that I shan't be telling about but I've never broken a nestie yet.:o:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

Hello you busy bees !:j
Just finished making door hangers for my friends -managed to find enough embellishments kicking about so all I need now is ribbon -never got the right colours.
Need to find a 'best friends' or 'friendship' logo type thing now to put on my friends little scrapbook -once I've done that I've some serious 'wrapping' to do next week and I've yet to make christmas cards for two sons and grandchildren -they always get a sort of 'special' one.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Wow you have all been so busy making notepads, calendars, sticky note holders, bookmarks, etc lately. I especially love the sock monkeys but can't sew to save my life lol!
I've added two Christmas cards to my blog http://leialegweak.blogspot.com and need to photograph the anniversary card i've made for my boyfriend's parents. I want a few more nestabilities though - I think they'll definitely be on my Christmas list.
You lot also convinced me that I need promarkers now hehe and I've had the skintone set to play with so when I get my bonus this year i'm going to treat myself to the full setx

lei - super cards..............love the teenage one. Where did you get the image from ? Be just right for teenage grandaughter
Oh, after googling for 'friends' or 'friendship' type logo I raided through my left over letters and found just enough to put 'friends' on the front of little scrapbook. Another job done.
Not so good with one of the door hangers............glue started to seep though the petals of a flower so I've fiddled about with some little leaves to cover up my 'error'...............fingers crossed it stays putI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

wow Mary you got some fab bargains. My neighbours are too snooty for anything like a street sale. They look down their noses when i take stuff from my house to give to my sister. lol. They are very popular in colorado where my brother lives.
Mrs Tidge what a fab monkey. My son loves monkeys better not let him see it he'll want one. lol.
Fab cards on everyone's blog i'll do the rounds and leave comments later.
Rainmac i don't envy you the ironing .You should have sent it round i spent 2 hours catching up with mine this morning. Normally don't have much but my daughter and her 2 littlies are here at the moment so lots of littly clothes each day.I used to spend about 3 hours every day ironing but only 5 of us left here now. Lots of it belonged to my son and his g/f and 2 boys as they lived next door but one so brought it round every day before work and picked it up when they got back. lolCross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Lei that's the kind of treat i'd like a full set of promarkers.
Mrs Tidge . Here is the no cake cake . It went down a treat the kids loved it. My eldest is 30 next year so he wants one now. He was the one who opened this one and was fighting the littlies for all the sweets lol.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
