Flougirl/mumhug/Polly & Hels - lovely cards on your blogs. Hels how did you get on with your party bags.
Rainmac - thanks for your comments - your cards are always lovely, think will hang on and maybe just invest in a couple of punches instead!
Mrs Tidge - Lovely sock monkey -was it v. difficult to do without a sewing machine?
Also finally think advancing somewhere on the photobucket/blog route - husband keeps putting me off - but spoken to brother in law who is a bit of a comp. geek and he said he could sort a blog out for me!! Yeah! cos I havent a clue:rotfl:0 -
Ali- quite a bit of the monkey like attaching all the limbs/nose/tail have to be done by hand anyway so I don't think it makes all that much difference doing it by hand (only to the overall quality:rotfl:)
Ewan loved him, but now he's been cruelly discarded thanks to the attraction of lego star wars on the wii!0 -
Hi Hels, all the things on your blog are gorgeous, well done for donating some of your sales to the hospice too! I'm thinking of doing that too when I've made and sold a few more towel cakes - if I can ever find somewhere that will let me display them, not having much luck so far! lol

I've just had a catch up with everyones blogs, fantastic creations ladies!:j
Well I have been busy making my calendars and post it note holders! I have decided to send half of what I make to a cancer hospice called Ty Olwen my grandfather passed away a 1 1/2 ago now and the care they provided for him was outstanding, they rely on fundraising and donations, I organised a cycle event last year and we raised £1,700! I know I'm not going to get anywhere near that but whatever I raise it will help in someway.
Here's a few bits on my blog http://helsbelswork.blogspot.com0 -
polly your one stop card is fab, love the image and the scallops xx

CandyB101 - re Cuttlebug plates - My plates are really marked too. I think it's a good idea to try and keep one plate as the die-cutting one and the other for when you're embossing. I managed this quite well until my daughter was making a card involving lots of die-cut lettering and she mixed the plates. Both my 'B's look dreadful now but still working! Also, if you have any nestabilities you have to use the 'C' plate - again you need to be v. careful to lay them the correct way. My first go was fine and the second go I got it wrong and my nestie was stuck in the plate. Luckily it came out fairly easily.
craftygranny - thanks for the reply re. the rubber stamp. I'll give that a try. Think I need to buy a bigger acrylic block though. I might try a rocker block as they look easier to stamp with. I'm not too pleased with my efforts using acrylic stamps so far. Your grandaughter looks lovely in her hat!
Think I'll say goodnight for now then ladies. Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend. We've had some lovely sunshine today - fingers crossed for the same tomorrow.
