Skiergirl Maybe I should just stick to Meadowhall. I think Manchester is a bit too far from Doncaster, cant expect DH to drive all that way and be dragged round the shops!! lol Thankyou for your kind comments on my cards :)

    louby - lovely stuff..............super colours you've used.
The bookmarks.............how do you make them ? I'm sure I saw it on here but can't remember
Do you stick paper onto thick card ? Might have a go at some of those.

Finished my friends little scrapbook.........now all tied up with ribbon.........and almost finished her door hanger..........might do one for another friend as well.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Sally, your cards are perfect to me, sometimes you can 'overegg the pudding', it all comes down to us all being our own worst critics. I love simple cards.

Evening all, - happy birthday to Kaitlyn - loving the hat:T
As usual fantastic cards on all the blogs I've visited - Rainmac - what a lovely card for a new granny!
I've been reading with interest about the posts about the nesties - as a relative newbie to card making but totally addicted - thinking of bigger and better things to get esp. near to christmas as Santa may be watching/listening!!. Is a cuttlebug the same as a sizzix?? When I was at Harrogate the chap from craft bug let me have a go at the sizzix and was quite impressed at what can be done - but most of you seem to have the cuttlebug - knowing what you know would you stick with the cuttlebug and does it do all the things a sizzix does?
Finally - would it be silly to get one now - do you think I should wait until more experienced:confused:

Mary, I have made one bookmark so far (more in the pipeline ;)) and all I did was cut a thick strip of card, covered one side with patterned paper and added an image that was free off the internet that I'd coloured in. I punched a hole in the top and threaded through a bit of garden string to give it a rustic look. Was very easy and lovely to make something different, you should give one a try :D
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
