Will the discount be lost if I cancel my EON price protection plan and move to a different tariff within EON?

    Hi Ily

No. You can move between tariffs within EON anytime you like without losing your discount.

You can either switch tariff online or give us a call and the agent will do it whilst you are on the phone.

    Hope this helps. :)

Why do the Eon standing charge products not appear on the on-line switch page ?

Thank you Malc (Eon representative) for your prompt answer :j

I wanted to 'bump' molerat's question as I too am interested in the Eon Save Online with standing charge. I found the information on this tariff on a couple different comparison sites but cannot locate it on the Eon website 'switch online' facility, which is odd.

    Thanks

  • Malc,
I too am on the PP 16 which ends in Oct. However, I have two different properties on the one account. Could I switch one of my properties energy just now to EDF and keep the other property with Eon until after Oct and still keep my discount?

Many thanks. You are a great help!

    Hi foolsgold99

You can switch one of your properties to EDF without the other being affected.

No discount will be given on the final bill for the property switched. However, you will continue receiving discount for the property remaining with us.

Should you decide to switch the second property after October you will not receive any discount on the final bill.

Hope this answers your question but give me a shout if you need more info. Always happy to help.

Thanks Malc. Can you just clarify the above point to make sure that I am getting the right end of the stick.

Basically then whenever someone changes from EOn to another provider they will not receive the final months discount i.e. it doesn't matter whether you are still in the fixed period or not either way you will always lose the discount?

    Many thanks

Yes, that's right foolsgold. Whenever a customer changes supplier no discount is given on the final bill.

Therefore, it is best to time a switch so you have the minimum period of charges possible on the final bill. This will lessen the impact.

    Hello again Ily and molerat

My colleague has come back to me on your question.

The Standing Charge version of Save Online is definitely missing from the switching tool when customers log into their online accounts. :o

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This will be fixed going forward but I don't have a time scale as of yet.

I would suggest contacting us if you would like this tariff. The change over can be done very quickly and easily.

Really sorry it's missing from the switching tool and thanks again for alerting us. :T
