    So if you wish to spend your time get all het up over something so small that is your decision. You have been given the official ebay/paypal line on unconfirmed addresses (which you dont believe) So there is little more I can contribute.

    Maybe you need to find a hobby?

    INTASUN32 QUOTE: * 'In fact PP have three time agreed in their e-mails that my address is shown on their records as 'CONFIRMED', that being the case, I asked, why are you sending out my invoices as 'UNCONFIRMED'?'

    INTASUN32 QUOTE: * 'I have also sent 4 (FOUR) e-mails to E-bay informing them of the situation as in one e-mail reply PP blamed E-bay for the problem. I have yet to receive a reply from them.'

    Thank you for your contributions to my tale of woe, as we have seen from your posts they are far from informative and helpful. You are correct in saying that there is little you can contribute, maybe it's you that needs the hobby. :beer:

    CYBERBOB QUOTE: * 'I'm afraid that you are incorrect there. I sent some items this morning to unconfirmed addresses and they were all covered'

    INTASUN32 QUOTE: * 'The fact is that PP do withdraw sellers protection if the address is unconfirmed. If you are a seller check out the next payment invoice with an unconfirmed address.'

    I suppose the invoice I have on my screen is another PP error where is states that the seller protection is not eligable due to the unconfirmed address?

    CYBERBOB QUOTE: * 'You do not wish to accept information/advice given from Highly experienced ebay sellers such as Dave.'

    I am sure that 'Dave' is an 'Highly experienced ebay seller' as you put it, I am not exactly a beginner and have traded for many years. Had 'Dave's' post been of help to my situation then I would have been more than grateful, sadly they didn't help. Sorry 'Dave'.

    Thank you for your advice and taking time to post, it's been a 'real' help. :T

    * The main reason for my posting this thread was to make a point of the shoddy customer service that I had received for a simple admin error, which continued even when making a formal complaint. The error itself was secondary, a point that seemed to have been lost to a majority of the knowledgeable posters here. Although it seemed that they were more in the dark than I was as to trying to resolve this problem.

  • From Paypal:
    Unconfirmed addresses are now covered under Seller Protection. You must post the item to the address provided on the Transaction Details page in order to qualify for Seller Protection.

    I know their customer service is hopeless, maybe it'd be better calling them and speaking to a real person. Emails tend to receive an auto reply.
    Good luck sorting it out.

    If a payment isn't eligible for protection, it's likely to be for a different reason, not the unconfirmed address.... but I'm sure you'll correct me if your PP screen explicitly states the opposite of what I just said!

    @Guinness is good for you,

    Isn't it frustrating when you receive yards of auto reply that has nothing to do with your problem. I have called C/S on the semi premium rate 0870 number and was on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up. They earn enough out of me to be paying hard earned cash for holding on!

    @frivolous_fay.

    The invoice actually states that this is the reason for non eligibilty.

    Thank you.

    If the error was secondary why make such a big thing of it. We all know that Paypal customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

    Yes you did get useful constructive advice from several people but you chose to ignore it more worried about proving that you were right. Can we all be so wrong? (you obviously think so)

    Is this an adult forum or have I posted on the kiddies section. What next 'My dad is bigger than your dad?'

    CYBERBOB QUOTE: *...we all....

    Other than the last two posters I have been receiving mainly your opinions, which have been of little help as I have told you. The Highly experienced ebayer, as you described him, 'Dave' posted twice and again was little help although give credit he tried. I posted here for advice without any success, if that hurts then you have to take it like a 'grown up'.
