Pay Pal & E-bay Could Not Arrange A P*** Up In A Brewery!

@Soolin,
You are right & very wrong regarding the status of the PP account. Correct that buyer/seller will not have access to this info, that is until payments are made. The PP invoice will show the status of the address ie: confirmed/unconfirmed, that's when the problems arrive.
I hesitate to aggravate you further, so I won't use words like 'confused'
I am aware that buyers are able to see 'Verified' or 'Non verified' when they pay you. I can't see how a buyer would see your address is unconfirmed.
Maybe you could clarify, or show us an image?My TV is broken!

@Smart But Casual,
It has definately impacted on 'selling' as many buyers have queried the 'unconfirmed' status. I can understand this as I would also have doubts about purchasing from a seller with an 'unconfirmed' addresss, buying from China is bad enough! Buying, at first the sellers made contact to ask for confirmation of address. I have lost one purchase & two sales due to this error. I now add notes to buyers/sellers to advise them of the error, but I should not have to.
It is a Pay Pal error that needs / I want corrected, some here on this thread think that's an odd way to act!
:beer:
There is no way a buyer knows the status of a sellers paypal account.
You seemed a tad "confussed" by this.

Irrespective of whether the issue is having a detrimental impact on the OP's sales, the point is that Paypal are in error. As the OP is a paying customer of Paypal surely they are entitled to demand Paypal rectify the issue. We all know how many hoops Paypal make us jump through when they decide there is a problem but (from personal experience) are rarely bothered when one of us spots a problem. If I were in the OP's position then I would also be concerned as should a problem arise I wouldnt be at all suprised if Paypal decided not to side with you because of it.0

From the start of this thread posters seemed to be more interested in the reason for my contacting PP than the main point, customer service, or lack of it, that I was getting from them. As I have said early in the thread the problem I have with the 'unconfirmed' address is secondary to the lack of customer service.
Only mrmr37 has given any useful info into their dealings with PP, while I am sorry but most of the posters have taken the thread well 'off topic'. Childish digs & mild abuse surely MSE has not got to this level.(Or perhaps it has)
There have been some good points made but nearly all have nothing to do with the main topic and cannot help or advise in my dealings with PP.

But you said the main point was to point out the shoddy service
There's no point contradicting you, because it is shoddy. Equally, there's not much point in us all posting 'yeah I agree, crappy service, makes ya sick'
As there seems to be some haziness about the problems you're having, it does help us, as advisers, to get down to the actualities. If we could save you getting an ulcer worrying over nothing, we would
All the other posts are just a bonus, surely?

So you want us all to rally round and tell you how we all agree that PP C/S is pants?
We all know it is.
We also know that you're acting like a drama queen over something that is of very little importance but each to their own.Terms & Conditions Apply0 -

@smart but casual,
Where have I asked anyone to 'rally round and tell you how we all agree that PP C/S is pants?' Please refer to the post? Are you reading the correct thread?
The last line on my opening post reads: 'Other than close the account, any advise? '
Sadly you have resorted to childsh abuse: 'you're acting like a drama queen'.
You are correct in saying that this is something that important to me, hence the thread. I find it sad that you are not acting in the manner that is expected on a forum. Forum bullying gets nowhere.

My opening few posts make it very clear the reason for this thread, nothing that would cause an ulcer just a pain in the butt! Very simple if kept 'on topic'

I honestly thought my post was helpful
, if OP was under the impression that buyers knew that he had an unconfirmed address and it put them off buying then should I have not said anything even though that was wrong?
How can you fully present a case to any third party, not least of which paypal who are not the easiest to deal with , if your basic understanding is at fault.
