    I honestly thought my post was helpful :confused:, if OP was under the impression that buyers knew that he had an unconfirmed address and it put them off buying then should I have not said anything even though that was wrong?

    How can you fully present a case to any third party, not least of which paypal who are not the easiest to deal with , if your basic understanding is at fault.

    Oh well, hope you get it sorted I'm sorry you don't want any real advice.

    @soolin,

    As I have said this thread was not about the 'unconfirmed' address and any eventualites that it may or may not have caused but the difficulties I have had in dealing with both PP & ebay to correct the PP made error. Sadly I allowed it to go a way off topic, my fault.

    It was not a case that 'I didn't want any real advice', as you have put it, it's just a case that your advice was not relevant to my situation. Therefore, sadly, was of no help. Read mrmr37 first post, now that was on topic and very helpful to me. Do you see my point?

    As you will see by the title of this thread my patience has finally run out with these two morons.

    For the best part of a year, bar a few weeks, I have been writing to Pay Pal to try and get them to correct and admin error that sprung up on my account. They corrected it for a few weeks and it happened again and has done ever since. When they send out payment invoices for my account they show my address as 'UNCONFIRMED'. I have checked and double checked both my Pay Pal and E-bay account and they are correct and up to date. In fact PP have three time agreed in their e-mails that my address is shown on their records as 'CONFIRMED', that being the case, I asked, why are you sending out my invoices as 'UNCONFIRMED'? I received the usual automated answer to check this and that and how to do it, even though I have set out many times, item by item, copy and paste from my accounts details, that it is all correct.

    So as you will understand by now I have lost it and had enough, the next step was to file a 'Complaint Against Pay Pal' form. The reply was to totally ignore the complaint and to tell me to check details in my account. I sent a stern reply, trying hard to keep polite even though I had steam coming out of my ears, asking why they had sent a reply such as this and ignored the fact that it was a COMPLAINT!. This morning I received a reply advising me to file a 'Complaint Against Pay Pal' form and showing how to do it.

    Is it me or are they taking the p***? Do they try to wear you down so in the end you just give up, because it will not work with me, even if I have to send an e-mail a day. It's now war!

    I have also sent 4 (FOUR) e-mails to E-bay informing them of the situation as in one e-mail reply PP blamed E-bay for the problem. I have yet to receive a reply from them.

    Other than close the account, any advise?

    :mad: :mad: :mad:

    Have you tried calling them on the telephone?

    I've had over 40,000 transactions on Ebay and never bothered with confirmed/unconfirmed addresses and only ever had one chargeback.
    I've also no idea if my address is confirmed or not, I guess its more important to some than others. I appreciate you didn't ask for an opinion from anyone, but just thought I'd add it anyway, that's how I roll:beer:

    There seems to be a theme in threads today. Is it Friday the 13th or something.

    People asking for advice. Then when the advice from multiple people does not agree with them. Toys are then thrown out of the pram. Why ask for advice? If your going to disagree no matter what. Even though you have been Shown that you are wrong? (actually that reminds me of something else)

    There does seem to be a particular theme of extreme stubborness today. Is it peeing down everywhere else too?:confused: That time of year I guess ;)
    This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine
