Is the "unconfirmed" impacting A) Selling or

I can see where the OP is coming from and the point they are trying to make. Its clear they are just frustrated with Paypals terrible customer service.
I have had the misfortune of having to deal with Paypal and ebay customer services. Paypal have to be THE WORST company (by far) I have ever dealt with. For such a big company dealing in millions everyday their systems and employees can be complete shambles.
On the few occasions when I've had try and clear up an issue with Paypal it has taken dozens of phone calls, repeating my situation over and over and over again just so you can be fobbed off by some mindless retard in a call centre in some random country who can barely string a sentance together without reading from their script.
Although I'm quite new to posting on MSE I have been using ebay and Paypal for some time. My advice to the OP would be to ring Paypal, dont waste your time sending emails. As you;ve found you'll only ever get an automated response, I doubt anyone will actually ever read your email in most cases.
I've only ever made progress by phoning them and asking to be transferred to their call centre in Dublin. At least the people there have brains, speak English, can think logically and are able string a sentance together unassisted. Ive found its hit and miss as to whether they'll transfer you to Dublin though, if they say they wont then just hang up and ring again, you'll eventually get someone who's willing (or more likely has the intellect required) to transfer the phone call and then you can explain your situation to a Dublin employee who I've found to very helpful.

At last, someone who understands my simple problem and can pass comment with some knowledge. I thank you for taking the time to post.:T
Have you managed to finally get them to sort out your problem and how long did it take from 'first contact'.0 -

@Smart But Casual,
It has definately impacted on 'selling' as many buyers have queried the 'unconfirmed' status. I can understand this as I would also have doubts about purchasing from a seller with an 'unconfirmed' addresss, buying from China is bad enough! Buying, at first the sellers made contact to ask for confirmation of address. I have lost one purchase & two sales due to this error. I now add notes to buyers/sellers to advise them of the error, but I should not have to.
It is a Pay Pal error that needs / I want corrected, some here on this thread think that's an odd way to act!

I did take me a few weeks to get it sorted but thats because it was the first time I'd dealt with them and hadnt figured out that demanding to speak to Dublin was the best plan of attack! Hopefully this suggestion will save you a few weeks (and a lot of head ache!!!)0 -
There is no way at all that a potential buyer can know the status of your paypal account. The only one who sees whether your address is confirmed or not is a seller when you buy from them. Actually as a further note of interest even once a buyer buys from you they can't see your status@Smart But Casual,

I have my buying receipts here and it merely shows my own status and the id of the person I have paid, it says nothing at all about whether their account is verified or not.
Could you be getting muddled with something else and this is why paypal are not responding as you feel they ought?
AS for your purchases refer your sellers to the following:
https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_spp-outside#spp-policy
What are the eligibility requirements for PayPal seller protection?
You must meet all of these requirements to be covered:- The item purchased must be a physical, tangible good that can be posted.
- The transaction must be marked by PayPal as eligible or partially eligible for seller protection on your Account “Transaction Details” page.
- If it is marked eligible, protection for both Unauthorised Payments and Item Not Received will apply. If it is marked partially eligible, protection for only Item Not Received will apply.
- Items sold on eBay will be marked eligible even if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed. Generally, items sold on websites other than eBay will be marked eligible if the shipping address is marked confirmed and partially eligible (that is, eligible for Item Not Received only) if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed.

Hello Soolin
You sent a payment of 55.00 GBP to pinkfluffybunny (sellerA@london.com)
Thanks for using PayPal. To see all the transaction details, log in to your PayPal account.
It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in your account.
Seller
pinkfluffybunny
SELLERA@london.com Note to seller
You haven't included a note.
Shipping address - unconfirmed
AS you can see it gives me no info about the sellers account and my 10 year old aco!!!! is showing as unconfirmed. I have never had an issue with this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. @Soolin,
You are right & very wrong regarding the status of the PP account. Correct that buyer/seller will not have access to this info, that is until payments are made. The PP invoice will show the status of the address ie: confirmed/unconfirmed, that's when the problems arrive.
Re the 'Muddled' remark, not very adult are we? What next? Calling me a 'big head' ? Very childish not what I would expect from someone who has made so many posts (?) and should know and act better.
You may have had wonderful service from our pals at PP, hence your protective tone, I have not. From another post it seems I am not the only one who has had problems with PP C/S. I had to smile when you wrote on why PP don't respond to my e-mails. An answer to my query would be nice. To address the point that I have made would be better. Perhaps you feel this is asking too much.
I am amused that you seem to presume that you have knowledge of why I PP are not responding as I feel they ought;
A school teacher used to tell us: 'Those who think they know everything, in fact know very little.
I rest my case.
Thank you for taking the time to posting on my thread, sadly it doesn't help with dealings with PP c/s as much as mrmr37 who has been in the same position with c/s, but it's much appreciated :j
