Hello all
as ever I'm awol at the moment. But we now have a new keyboard for the laptop, DH just has to fit it and if it works I should be around a bit more!
Hope everyone is ok. I had today off as flexi leave and my parents were here which was nice. Once they'd gone I had a quick dyson through the house and cleaned the bathroom and mum & I had to do the kitchen this morning as there was a bit of a disaster when something fell out of a cupboard onto a big cup of tea which went EVERYWHERE - inside the cupboards, all over me, the fridge, the floor....you can imagine! Broke my mug but missed the denby teapot thankfully!
DH is currently playing his new cricket game on the ps3 and i'm quite enjoying surfing the net.Not feeling 100% today but mainly tired and a bit of a tummy upset (I made prawn and pea risotto last night for both sets of parents, it was lovely but prawns and me don't get on brilliantly!)
I think I might just go and grab myself a nice G&T actually.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Dusty - I have a feeling this might be quite near you. I might be going there on Sunday, in which case I can drop of my unwanted fabric conditioner if you'd like it
Oooooh yes that is only a few miles away, go past there alot. It would be great to see you but no reporting back on the state of the house - the kids have been on holiday 3 weeks now and then there's all the empty bottles:rotfl:The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm in one of those I don't know what to do moods. I have an email I need to reply to which takes a bit of sorting out of some paperwork so I think I'll do that, say good evening to Rose and then I might watch WDYTYA? with Davina on catchup. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Hi Rach! How's the new job?
I'm also loads better as I've come off the pill (not to get pregnant but for the pcos and so i canhave roper bloods done). I can't say how much better I feel in all kinds of ways and I'm sure that is part of the reason!!
How are you?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
How are you?
Recovering from the swine flu (day five and much improved). Off to Islington tomorrow to be my sister's only bridesmaid at her wedding (they have both been married before but managed to get a vicar to agree to marry them in church).
Still fighting the fight. Have a meeting with the Director of Transportation next week to discuss just how they are going to deal with traffic issues when a particular route from Spg to Bsc is closed due to bridge works by the railway people. They want to put buses through a particular area of green space close to my heart!
So, really, same old ... same oldI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I'll try to get a concrete plan out of the friend I'm going with sometime tomorrow, and I'll get in touch to work things out. I'm sure your your house is immaculate - the installation of empty bottles entitled 'Rosegarden 1' is a highly imaginative construction using found materials, making an ecological as well as an artistic statement, and is also a tribute to the artists love of pink plonk...
I've been dying to see it ever since I heard the reviews of it when it was entered for the Turner prize

lol soappie
I technically work for Transportation & Highways now - funny how these things come around!
Hope the wedding goes well and is a lovely day for all. Most vicars would marry divorced people these days I think.
I miss being on here, will try and be around more once the laptop is (hopefully) fixed!
for now I'm going to tell DH is he wants to watch something with me tonight he needs to stop playing on the ps3 as i'm shattered!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
