Post from Tia on another thread:

section went well cant say i enjoyed it though... baby girl was born at 9.21am weighing 6lb15oz. she is right here next to me and though was cold earlier she has since stailised yay no special care! I am fine, tired and itchy but not too sore. her blood sugars are fine. and she is breast feeding like a star. off to sleep no, take care will catch up later.

Hope you don't mind me cross posting hun - huge congratulations and I hope you enjoy every moment of those precious first few days xx

Baby is currently in SCBU according to the latest FB update.. not maintaining blood sugars too well.. but that rights itself in no time usually I've found.

    Still no name though!!

Thanks for the sympathy everyone! This little girl does have a problem, her mum has talked to me about it, but for some reason she didn't have her pad in today  I feel very sorry for them all, Mum's not the brightest bulb, and the LO is a sweet kid, but not many of the other kids like her because a) she's not very bright, and b) the wee problem, that isn't managed as well as it should be. :(

It's a sorry little tale, but my DD2 and her get one really well, and I guess my DD isn't phased by her friend's little problem, since she has to put up with so much from her little sister!! :D And her friend puts up with my DD being a bossy mare! So that works well. :D

I should ask mum for spare clothes, but she clearly find the whole thing difficult, and TBH, most of the time, it's not a problem for me to just sling stuff in the washer, and get her changed. Today however, the new sofas was just too much! I just had to have a rant about it.... :o

The nipper's here for a sleepover, so I'm just being more on it now. She's got a proper pad in now, and is being reminded about the loo. *sigh* Bless her.

    Hi everyone

Not doing to badly today flyingwise but it is too hot to do anymore today.
However, I've still got another lot of washing drying on the line; so that will have to be collected and folded and put away. Ho hum a flylady's work is never done. The sorting of my boudoir will have to wait until tomorrow.

Congrats to tia and her dh.

Soappie please may I have 2 more stars?

I have decided to sell my cycle carrier - I will put a free card up in the supermarket. I am too chicken to try and attach it to my car and if I need to transport 1 bike I can drop the seats and get it in the car. Not originally on my plan to clear the shed but why am I hanging onto it when I never use it:confused: and it'll be a bit more in the bathroom fund.[/QUOTE]

What you doing to the bathroom Valli?

    I'm back! I can see you've been busy here...:p

Interview went OK I think... thanks for all the good luck messages. I should hear fairly soon.

However, my team at work are not happy bunnies, and I can't help them as I've got as little information as they have... I can see a difficult few days coming up as everyone should have had 1-2-1s with their managers to discuss their options, and I can't have discussions with them as I haven't been briefed . According to the plan, redundancy letters are being issued on Monday, but if people haven't had their offer letters and decided whether or not to accept their roles, and no discussions have been had about appointing people to suitable alternatives, how can they know who they are giving letters to?

Anyway, the sun is trying to shine through the clouds, so I'm going to get changed out of work clothes and have a look at the garden. I feel like having an early night tonight so I can get lots done over the weekend!

Lots of hugs etc. all round xx

Phew, all but the spare oom done, that will have to get finished tomorrow, but at least we have started and that's the hardest bit.

greenbee that sounds like a horrid situ at work, between a rock and a hard place...

dollydaydream I will have to go back now and read to see if you have happy news. Valli is spot on about preg. tests.

re the bathroom. I am having a refit. My shower broke a couple of years ago (I think) so I have been showerless and I thought rather than faff just replacing that I will have the lot done. Not least because the cistern cover is glued together and the handbasin is cracked...so I am hoping to have one of those wider baths at one end...and a nice basin and loo. I'm hoping to have my basin set in a cupboard (as there is NO storage in there at the moment so all the lotions and potions sit on a shelf alongside the bath). I am thinking of having a proper shower screen instead of a curtain, having the walls fully tiled and a tiled floor. I have been squirrelling spare money away for it but I doubt I'll have enough as my plans have expanded...so if I sell the bike rack that'll pay for a tap I should think...
I have pop up plug in the basin and bath right now, the porcelain cover dropped off the bath one and broke - oh yeah and the light cover dropped into the loo and smashed so it's a bare bulb at the moment. So basically I thought I'd get the lot done.
I'll have to do before and after pics on facebook I think...

though I didn't post I HAVE been thinking about you! And actually (as others) I am wondering about Lady L

Just been to supermarket so I got rid of 2 pairs of wellies and a pair of football boots into the SA skip...and there was me claiming I had NOTHING to fling!

Grateful re the 'test' kits - I think they should make it clear that a positive result is 100% accurate it's the negative results that may not be! If you get a positive then a negative you WERE (in the very early stages of course) but the pregnancy has subsequently failed, as can happen early on. A colleagues wife did 3 and they were ALL positive...stunned looks from yours truly - why would you repeat a positive (unless you thought you had miscarried or something?)

Eeeeeeeh! There's two huge wasps in the bathroom! I've opened the window as far as it can go so they fly out (I hope!) soon, I need to clean in there!
