  • Hello all - finally getting back into the swing as DS almost back to usual. Has to avoid strenous activities for a bit longer - have you tried explaining that to a boisterous 6 year old??

Have been flying through a friends house this morning to help out after some building/decorating work wreaked havoc! Now back and flying through mine as we go away Sunday for a few days.

Declutterring the fridge & fruit/veg rack - first of several banana recipies in the oven (to be frozen tomorrow) and now trying to decide what to do with a small orange & mandarin mountain? Hmm - frozen orange slices for drinks maybe?

And dwarf beans & cabbage? Hmm - large gnocchi & large curry to freeze?

Looks like a longish night in the kitchen then....

Wonder if Gordon would like to help out?

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Grateful re the 'test' kits - I think they should make it clear that a positive result is 100% accurate it's the negative results that may not be! If you get a positive then a negative you WERE (in the very early stages of course) but the pregnancy has subsequently failed, as can happen early on. A colleagues wife did 3 and they were ALL positive...stunned looks from yours truly - why would you repeat a positive (unless you thought you had miscarried or something?)

Or if you have had as many miscarriages as you have children.. or if you are so very desperate and stunned by the news.. or the positive was very faint and you needed to clarify.. or you didn't want to take a 4 weeks old test to the docs.. or just to confirm in your shocked and horrified mind that it is in fact still positive....

Lots of reasons.. a false positive can be given from certain fertility treatments.

So, not too bad. OH sorted out the 2ft pile of papers in his office (ie. our spare room!) and it's looking good. Didn't manage to get to the vacuuming but that won't take too long over the weekend.

Also reorganised the living room, making it easier for me to clean under the TV unit (we have laminate and there's always dust everywhere - always got the broom out sweeping!).

Hope everyone had a good day.
    Take care

Feet done, toe nails painted. Gin consumed with Brave NN who decided she WOULD come round even if I might still be infectious. Reticule idea abandoned. Shopping put away. Dinner about to be cooked and then full steam ahead for packing for tomorrow.

Well I certainly haven't done as much as Zoe!!!

DW emptied & stuff put away, filters cleaned and put back, seal cleaned, outside wiped, washing up done, utility sink cleaned.

Had a call from the HR guy about today's interview - all the feedback he's had back so far has been positive. The rest should be with him by 10pm, so he's going to call me on Monday to talk about next steps and provisionally wants to meet on Tuesday lunchtime (I can walk down there from the office assuming I don't already have a meeting booked in ). So I think it's probably looking good!

Have been through it all with my mum and two friends who've called to find out how it went, so think I might now sit in what's left of the sun and read (and try to ignore the state of the garden, which hopefully will get some TLC once the house is done this weekend!)

Moam - I've realised that you live not far from where I work (I'm based in Staines), so if you feel like meeting up sometime, let me know!
