Thanks ISOM, just need a few more hours in the day and I will be fine!
BG coming on Weds to give us a quote (should be a laugh if nothing else!) and then will get some local peeps to give us a quote too and take it from there.
No hot water still, makes life much more interesting! xxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

:eek::eek:....oh Penguin, it must be getting more to the frustrating point by now surely.........hands Penguin warm flannel...how are you all coping Hun..:grouphug:........
One time my heating went down (it was in cold weather like this that went on for ages...) I used to go to the local pub where I had previously worked and borrow their bath :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you can get this sorted soon and for the right price

Hope DH cars fixed soon and the boiler.
Good luck with the assignment.0 -
Thanks everyone. Well BG came and gave us a quote 7000 :eek: So we said thanks but no thanks and had a look on internet. Exact same boiler that they were charging us 2.5k (without fitting) for was 1.2k free delivery. The radiators BG quoted 231 each were 40.00 such a shocking mark up. The fitting alone was 2.5k. Needless to say we have 2 other people coming to quote us. BG man actually said people dont use us because of value for money but because we are a big name and we are the first people they think of. Way to rip off your customers BG :rotfl:
Anyways, car is back with us, not 100% right but useable until next time. OH cant wait until we can afford to buy a new car, his has been a taxi for ages and has 250k on the clock.
Not much more to report as is becoming the norm now. Assignment submitted last night at 3am  and next one due 10th March. I maintained at slimming and have joined a challenge at class to lose 2stone in the next 12 weeks - works out just over 2lbs a week. Anyone fancy spurring me on feel free. I have a severe chocolate craving at the minute! xxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

That's some miles on the clock!!!...didn't realise it was his own cab..for some reason I always thought he rented it from the firm.
I knew BG would be dear...lol..they are the biggest rip off going.
I looked on the worcester site and on there they have the recomended fitters on there..just type your postcode in...and it will give the ones in your area....I phoned and he came out and did a professional job...if you buy through their fitters you get a 5 year warranty..the only condition was that you had to have it serviced by their approved fitters once per year..cost £65...
That sounds like a good challenge weight wise...well done on the assignment as well.0 -
Thanks Taxi, glad to see I am not the only one up at this unearthly hour! Tried sleeping but didnt work, my alarm is going off in 4 hours so I am going to be like stir fried **** tomorrow!
Sorry Taxi, it me confusing it. Car belongs to bloke who settles cars out to drivers. Problem is, it has always been a settle car and so has huge mileage but we are stuck in a catch 22 - cant afford to buy one but paying 85.00pw for this one. OH has always had his own cars and this is the first time he has settled one because we couldnt get finance anywhere. He hates it because he always looked after his cars and hates having to wait for the owner to fix it. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

So glad I'm not as cofuddled as I thought...lol
Perhaps you'll be able to save up for one when you're debtfree...I'd also hate to wait for someone else to fix it.It must be hard when you've owned before.0 -
Evening all, hope everyone is snow free tonight!
Had a quiet weekend which was nice, done really thrilling and exciting things like housework, studying and next months budget - truly edge of the seat stuff!
DD has now decided that she loves dancing after doing a 2 day street dancing workshop during half term - she is going to have to drop something if she wants to do it though as she already does drama, cookery, swimming, tennis and basketball. Dont know where she gets the energy from, its certainly not from me!
Our month ends tomorrow so any pennies that are left are going into the RMA fund, should hopefully be around 70.00 - better than nothing!
Not much more to report at the mo, off for a mooch round the boards.xxxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
