Penguins 24 month countdown!

Options
Hi everyone, thought it was time for a new diary as my other one has been going for a year now.

So quick recap, I am 25 and live with OH and DD (6) and DS (4). We both work full time, me a Civil Servant and OH a taxi driver doing nights and I am currently studying for a law degree. We have paid off almost 20k since joining here in June 2007 and now have only 2 years to go :j:j:j. I am currently in the middle of losing the weight I have somehow gained (maybe something to do with chocolate??) and have so far lost 3st 6lbs and am 2lb off halfway there and I quit smoking 39 days ago too - at last!

We are lucky in that at the moment we have a fairly good income, enough to cover all bills and payments and a little to make overpayments. I have a horse which is expensive as she is very old now but I am desperate for another which is one of my aims for becoming debt free.

In order to become debt free in 24 months we need to pay off 1236.10 from our debts each month which is going to be pretty hard going but hey we need something to aim for.

So its the 1st of the month and have paid 280.00 out today (the joy of online banking :rotfl:) so only another 956.10 left to go this month to stay on target

Sorry if I've bored you all to tears but thanks for reading anyway!! x x x

Thanks BOB - it won't be very exciting though I can promise you that!

Ok here are the short term goals :-

    1. Get my 3 1/2 stone award at SW
    2. Pay £100.00 off Cap One
    3. Finish decluttering study/dining room
    4. Keep an accurate grocery spend for August
    5. Rebook appt to give blood.

That little lot will do for now. Forgot to say - I get a payrise at the end of this month should work out about 100.00 extra take home and the biggest one of all is that DS will be off to school no more 120.00 a week nursery fees although Im not getting too excited yet because I dont know how the transition to school will go ie whether it will be staged or just chuck him in full time from the beginning and I will need to use some sort of after school club and holiday club so will need to work out how much that will cost. x x x

I had 2 weeks off SW a couple of months ago, I was off work and we had some days out planned so I treated it as my holiday and managed to gain 5lbs in 2 weeks - thought that was pretty impressive, if only they awarded a pig of the week as well as slimmer of the week my book would be full of stickers! xx

Ooh I like the idea of blaming it on him - although I have an unopened box of cookies in the cupboard, think I deserve to lose 1lb purely through not eating them! x x
