RBS Visa Debit

Right peeps ive just been speaking to natwest telephone banking regarding my account and I mentioned the visa debit switch over.

The advisor said oh wait a minute we had an email about this yesterday. *then reads the email to me*

It appears that natwest will begin to issue there visa debit card from 13th September for all lost/stolen/replacement requests.

Thought i would just double check with RBS Direct Banking re the Visa Debit Card being sent out as from today, and the advisor confirmed that any cards that are being sent out will definately be the new Visa Debit Card as from Sunday 23 August 2009 this is only for RBS Cards though!!

RBS said that Visa Debit would be issued as my card was damaged
I got the impression that they had a few calls for damaged Maestro Cards today.

I just phoned RBS Private and asked them if my card could be replaced - explained I had problems using it abroad and they've agreed to replace it even though the old card is not faulty!

Guy I spoke to on the phone said he had loads of calls since yesterday for 'damaged' cards though!

No it didn't. RBS are still showing Maestro/Solo.

I have a solo card with RBS and it expires end of September, so I should get my new card soon, will let you know when I get it.

Was in the local RBS branch today and asked the teller about the replacement card that was on order and she confirmed it was definately a Visa Debit card and was sent on Monday 24 August, so hopefully should be delivered tomorrow.

After all this speculation since 2008 the rbs visa debit card finally arrives :beer:

Working until 4pm so will post a pic when i get home... Fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow.. Come on Royal Mail!!! :j
