    Talk Talk already appear to be barring access to 1899/18866/18185 customers see;
    http://niftylist.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=854.0

    Dont forget if you dont use the TT access code you wont get the free Intl calls, your be charged their normal rates.

    Their is a 0870 customer service number for LL and Calls (Free to call if your line is working) but expensive if you have to call from another network.

    Broadband Technical Support on a Premium Number.

    The contract starts when the phone line is up and running. Not when the BB is connected. So if they did not meet their RFS date which in some cases is as long 15 weeks time, and you tried to cancel they could hit you with heavy cancellation fee.

    The T&C are a nightmare 16 pages long.

    They dont appear to support Minicom Calls, or Callsign.

    I had CPS with TT a few years ago, I had to use a code to bypass the CPS, I am not sure what this code was or if it would still work

    I'm with Onetel which has been taken over by TalkTalk. The service wasnt great before but now is non existant. I am only getting 512kb or whatever it is when my exchange will support 2 MB but they wont change me over without signing another contract even though I've been with them for 4 years and it should just be a normal change over. They have though told me I can have their new cheaper offer of free broadband etc once they have changed me over to talktalk and I can keep my .onetel email address.

    Anyway I now want ot go elsewhere because I have heard very bad things about talktalk and do not wanto t move away from my BT line connection. The thing is I will of course lose my email addresses which are all .onetel.com. I want to replace them with a more generalised email address like .hotmail so if I move broadband supplier again I dont again have to go through all the hassle of telling people my new email address and also changing my buisness cards etc.

    The thing I donot like with .hotmail.co.uk is all the spam that comes through and to be blunt I would rather not pay for the service as I will already be paying another ISP. I know if I put numbers in the email address that helps but for my buisness one I'd rather not do that if possible as it doesnt look too good really.

    Where else is there to have a non ISP restricted email address which is good at filtering out as much of the spam as possible or where would people recommend apart from hotmail?

    Many Thanks Team!

    jandanjan - could you try and get hold of a google (gmail) email address? Apparantly they're quite good.. but you need to be invited to get the address, but i'm sure there's somebody on here who has invites going spare.

    I have plenty of GMail invites to spare as well. A pm will do the trick!

    Not sure if this would work but I know services like 1899 and 18185 also have 0207 landline numbers you can dial so that mobile users can access their service. Do TT bar these?

    A couple of points. TalkTalk doesn't ban P2P, just excessive use that may affect others' bandwidth usage.

    Secondly, the £70 cancellation fee is the maximum - if you have two or three months to go then it's the cost of the remaining monthly subscriptions so that the contract is completed.

    TalkTalk answers all such queries in its broadband and usage Ts and Cs on its website and seems to be quite open about them.
