As far as I'm aware it is if Tesco (nationwide) stocks the product, not the individual store. All the eMails you guys and gals have posted state Tescos, not your local Tesco store.
The coupons are just bagged up, the only sorting that goes on at store level is if they are Scanned or Non-Scanned. The coupons are not even sorted in this country now!0 -

If that is the case, then how do they know what store to send the ones that don't get redeemed back to?Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
Had a double up voucher on cosmetics and crap to get rid rid of (don't ask why). Went to me Tesco extra for the first time in months coz I assumed they'd have a better choice. Chose deodorants....cut a long story short the double-up voucher wouldn't scan. RED LIGHT ALERT:eek: Snotty cow came over (not an old trout).
"These aren't part of the fragrance deal, you'll have to put them back, but you'll have to pay for the rest of your shopping".
"Errr no, how about you put the whole lot back and I go around again with an empty basket".:D

You need to buy the stuff.
I'll be buying £25 worth of clothes for £20 (£5 off Mail voucher). I'll buy them as well as loads of food, so the receipt will have lots on it. Unfortunately, the clothes won't fit and will have to be returned.
Refund will be £25, not £20. They'll let me keep my clubcard points too!
isn't this abuse much like DJrich using an out of date coupon that you was so insultive about? no wonder stores are clamping down on coupon abuse! what goes around come around....:eek:0 -
It is.
It used to be policy to check / count coupons, but they were never processed at a store level. Now they are just quickly sorted though, checking for photocopies and other dodgy ones, mainly just so the cashier can be informed for the future.
They are collected from stores weekly by DHL. Stores then get a report down once a week telling them the totals and the differences etc.
I can't speak for all stores, but this is what happens at mine.0 -
I am trying to print from Coupon Net or coupon net style sites from work and keep getting the following message:
On the "Advanced" tab, make sure "Keep printed documents" is not checked.
I have checked and this is not the case but still no good... any ideas please?
Thank you0 -

Sorry missed this one before I replied.
Stores don't get sent any coupons back. Any out of date or dodgy ones are just not counted by the counting house. All losses are shown on the report they get sent once a week. No explanations, the stores just have to take the loss.0 -
I agree with swannee-d re buying with coupons and then getting a full price refund - we mustn't abuse the goodwill of these stores or it will spoil things for everyone - there's no need to be dishonest - let's just keep under the radar.Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale - Hans Christian Andersen2012 savings:remortgage £156.15pcm £5 pcm insurance reduced; 2012 Running totals: £10 goodwill requests/Grocery Coupons £12:T0
