  • We have one horrible woman at our tesco who snatches at great speed any coupons you may intend using and goes through them with a fine tooth comb. Needless to say she has to accept them because I know the rules and I know that they do accept all the ones I hand in but it doesn't stop her shouting " this is a photocopy "every time I hand in a couponnet one but I remain calm and say "no it isn't you know what it is it's an internet coupon".
Think I might try the break down, flea comment next time she serves me just for the hell of it!!
They must lead very sad little lives ( I hope she reads this and knows its me hehe haha).

Are there any Tesco workers out there who have seen the aforementioned memo who are able to confirm the new rule?

Haven't seen any memos like this. I would have thought they would just block them on the system rather than asking staff not to take them. Some staff obviously don't know the policy as it stands at the moment, with all the trouting issues on here, even though they would all of had training on it. You can imagine the problems there would be if they had to check for particular numbers on each coupon.
I will have a sniff around at work and will let you know.
  • I purchased clothes today and SA were giving these flyers today away also.

Just a warning that these flyers specifically state not be used in conjuction with any other clothing coupon, so be prepared they might not take the £5 flyer coupon and the £5 leaflet coupon together

    sleepless
theses flyers have the same bar code on them as the news paper ones

Interesting someone was quoted can't use moc with barcodes starting 990 and 991.

I was quoted barcodes 992 - 999 yesterday, which would make more sense. There is a thread on paid to shop at the moment about some coupons a supervisor queried, which we believe to be fake. I think the barcodes may be in relation to those.

I hope they are, the quicker fake coupons are blocked the better in my opinion, it risks the policy for all of us if they are used.

Why do some people have no sense?

Can anyone offer a bit of advice about the rustlers BOGOF MOC? I took it that you can use 2 of them when purchasing 2 rustler products and thus get them both for free. I have done that a couple of times but another time the SA insisted they could only take one as the MOC says BOGOF and otherwise I would "be getting both for free and that just cannot be right!"

I explained that Tesco are supposed to take one MOC without even buying the product so I should be able to use 2 when buying 2 of the products. She would not have it though and kept quoting from the text on the coupon. When I quoted the text on a different coupon about how it can only be redeemed for that product and yet Tesco are letting me use it without buying that product she did not care.

It did not matter too much as she was enforcing that stores "policy" of maximum 50% off with MOCs so I just substituted some different MOCs for the rustlers one that was refused.

Also, does anyone have some special way of microwaving rustlers so that the bun doesn't get soggy?

Hiya, my local T's will only accept as a BOGOF, but, as long as you buy the product, it can be used on top of the 50% Vouchers that my local store will accept. I microwave the burger for 1 minute, while popping the bun in the toaster, came out really nice :rotfl:

Thanks to everyone who posts on here with advice and information, all really appreciated :-)

All very confusing I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out. Tescos own coupons are 991 so we should be safe with that number. Having just checked out my little stash of coupons they are all 991 or 990 internet and otherwise, all obtained honestly!

I hope the don't cut short my couponing career I was just getting into it!

Are there any Tesco workers out there who have seen the aforementioned memo who are able to confirm the new rule?

I don't work at Tesco, but have been read out the memo and apparently it is someone who is making fake coupons and passing them It is none of the ones that are on front page or manufacturers ones. It is 992 to 999. The memo does not say what product or amount the coupons are for.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
