VC there were two Kettle chip ones. I thought one was like a signup for newsletter thing..that you had to get an email reply.. but the other way a direct couponnet link. I never got the newsletter versio to work though..

Firstly, thanks to you all for the messages of support over the incident yesterday with the puce-faced old fart that plainly disapproved of my vouchering.

Anyway, today there are dark mutterings from the young lads at the tills. They tell me that not only have they banned 992-999 code vouchers (none of which I'm using, thankfully) but also the Manager has written to Head Office to try to get the whole voucher acceptance stopped altogether at the store.

Seems a bit odd really, as I thought it was a national guidance/policy, and that Managers have discretion to implement it or not at a local level. If he's seeking guidance to stop it, that seems to imply that he's not using his discretion.

I'm just hoping that there are still enough SA's that have difficulty telling their azz from their elbow that things will carry on for a bit.
