  • Codes Clampdown ?
I'm really worried about the new "rule" I was quoted in my T's yesterday - about the vouchers with codes beginning 990-994 no longer being accepted (although they took all mine without even looking at the code after telling me that in passing).

Having had a quick look at mine, which are all internet print-offs at the moment, they all seem to start with 990 or 991. If that's the case, then it's "thank you and good night" for my couponing career.

Confusingly, though, I've just got a pik a pak out of the cupboard to have a look, and that starts with 990 as well !

I could understand that duplicates might get through with unscrupulous folk photocopying internet ones & so on, but surely the ones you cut of packets (like pik-a-paks) must be "safe" ?

This all seems very "muddy" and I can only hope the lack of clarity works in my favour for a bit longer before a total ban comes into force.

Yes, my Nivea one and Huggies were refused too, beginning with 90, and they are big chunky bits or cardboard, printed both sides. I did ask about this, as obvious they were not copies, but supervisor said he was just quoting the memo. No coupons 990 to 994 unless buying product:confused:

If you sign up to www.wanchaiferry.co.uk and go to their competition section you could win a Wanchai Ferry recipe kit, they are giving 30 per month away. It may be worth keep an eye open for this as they may put out coupons as they seem to be advertising a lot.

I was told by a supervisor that they had recieved a memo from head office and it said they could no longer accept coupons which started 99 and then had the numbers 2 to 9 after it. So all of mine were accepted because they were all 990... or 991....

    Hope that makes sense! :D

Just wondering if there is such a thing as a list of air shows as my hubby is quite interested - do you have any idea? TIA.

All very confusing I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out. Tescos own coupons are 991 so we should be safe with that number. Having just checked out my little stash of coupons they are all 991 or 990 internet and otherwise, all obtained honestly!

I hope the don't cut short my couponing career I was just getting into it!

Are there any Tesco workers out there who have seen the aforementioned memo who are able to confirm the new rule?
