I am very lucky as I get mine paid for by my tax credits exemption card
Theres no way on earth I'd go if I had to pay for it too, I'd end up getting a new mortgage just for my teeth

Well done BB on facing up to the fear. I've been petrified of the dentist too and have had many a missed year...I used to have to have intravenous valium sedation for anything more than a look at my teeth!! However, a few years ago (again after a 5-7 year gap of no dentist visits), I had a tooth break, and managed to find a wonderful NHS dentist who has reassured me that they're not all Sweeney Todd's
I still get irrationally scared though, irrational as I have now had various fillings and an extraction without valium (go me!), so I make sure DD and I get our checkups done at the same time - she was very proud last time as I got told off and warned that I have to floss and use some strange toothbrush as otherwise my teeth are going to fall out, and she was given a sticker and told her teeth are wonderful(probably cos she doesn't eat any sweets/chocolate!)
Blimey, that was an essay....but I promise you, once you're there, make sure you close your eyes the moment you get in the chair and try to visualise yourself somewhere more relaxing and fun than the dentists and it'll be much better than you dread.....0 -

ah but if you don't look after them and you get gum disease it can affect your heart:eek: - this was something they had on a lovely leaflet I was flicking through. So death or paying for dental treatment... luckily we're NHS so it's not too pricey but it's only marginally less painful than buying a hoover - my personal most hated spend:o!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Did you know that Virgin bingo do a free scratchcard too - they're not a St Minver site and you just need to deposit £5 toplay (then withdraw it of course;)) I've been doing it a few weeks and am nearly on £4 - they give 25p most days:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0

We went to the tip so the garage is looking a bit clearer now
Then we went to the leisure centre and booked ds swimming lessons and then went to see the trains for a bit. We've had lunch, a trip to somerfield to buy bits for dinner tonight, and have started making a trifle. Now we have some tidying to do, the guinea pigs to do and cakes and trifle to make
