When I first moved here I used to test it on the 1st of every month as we live in a 2nd floor flat and I am a bit paranoid as to how we'd get out because the only real access route is out the front door, all the windows would be a big big jump  but I've been a bit naughty lately and not done it for ages :o:o

Grrr, I put a free £9 bet on Villa beating Liverpool tonight, and when they went 1-0 up I bottled it and layed it to secure a £23 profit ... then they went and scored another goal so it looks like if I'd left it I would have won £77ish after all :o but that would technically be gambling so I guess I did the right thing really

The schools always have firemen in up here and they make the kids do fire plans so DS will have you planning a route across the roof tops or with roll up ladders in no time! My fire alarm is regularly tested whenever I grill bacon...:o

Yep, I have a few things the same as you still to do....namely go to the tip, write thank you letters (mine-for all the goodies I got at the end of term:D), sort drawers, paperwork, tidy kitchen cupboards....arghh busy, busy:rolleyes:

One thing - do you clean all your own windows? If so, how?! I tried the other day, but they're still smeared, didn't do a very good job (used Windowlene)...but didn't want to find a window cleaner and have to pay them:rolleyes::p

Most of my windows are velux ones so I can spin them inside out if that makes sense ;) I use a squirty bottle with white vinegar/water in it, its marvellous, I use it on the shower screen / mirrors everything, just spray it and use a damp cloth and its wonderful :D

Well finally all my bets have settled, and having sorted out my banking (yet again ) it looks as though I have £200 left this month :o Now while that is great I am sure there must be something I've forgotten to allow for as that seems an enormous amount to be left with. I know we have a week of this month left, but the fridge and cupboards are full and the car is full of petrol, so I am not expecting to have to spend a huge amount his week :D I will monitor my accounts for a day or two and see if anything I'd forgotten about goes out, otherwise I may be able to treat dsa bit in his last bit of holiday :D

Morning :D I checked my online banking this morning and there is £10 come out that I'd not accounted for, but that still leaves me with £190 for a week :j Will need to check again tomorrow, it just seems too much :D

20p on the scratchcards today, nothing much else online that I wasn't expecting. Today I have a mystery shop to do and we may nip into Bournemouth and do a bit of shopping and maybe crazy golf or something like that :D

Is your self assessment form the 'short' form? I did my tax return yesterday and it only took about 10 mins to actually fill the form in (a bit longer to work out my income from jobs and interest). Just wish I had completed it earlier now. Mind you, I say that every year!!!!!!!
