Thankyou KM, I know I'm being irrational but I hate having to accomodate him and his family in my life still :o I also don't want them thinking that this will happen every summer holidays because it won't, so may need to nip it in the bud now ;)

I'm thinking at the moment of leaving it for a few weeks before replying (not even halfterm yet so have plenty of time!), and suggesting that they come down here for a few days (not staying at mine though), and take him out for day trips but he comes home at night. That way they still get to spend the time with him but I don't have the worry of him being homesick at bedtime. My other worry though is that then if she's not happy with this she'll get on to my ex and ask him to have ds and she'll look after him instead  Grrr families :(:(:(

Yay to ds's tooth. My oldest ds lost a tooth a couple of weeks ago. Tooth fairy forgot the first night (oops) and ds was disturbed in his sleep when we went to bed the second so she forgot again. However, she did visit once he had gone downstairs that morning and he found the money when he went to bed. We are not convinced that he still believes - looking at him grinning at us.

Aww, I've always told ds that the tooth fairy comes and takes the tooth away to give to new babies, and tonight when he went to bed ds put the tooth in his special tooth pillow and was saying goodbye to it, telling it how much he'd enjoyed looking after it while its been with him :o Then when he was in bed he said he felt sad because he'll never see his tooth again :(:( Bless him :A

Hurrah its the weekend :D We went to the park after school and we got a bag of chips to share for tea, not very healthy or ww-friendly, but hey, its a treat ;)

Nothing planned so far for this weekend, well other than the usual trip to tescos, ds swimming lesson in the morning, housework, hopefully some walking, a night out with a mate tomorrow and then ds home on sunday afternoon and then doing the bath / homework routine :)
