It wasn't exactly crowded Mart ;):D Ds enjoyed it though, got a bit of fresh air at the same time so all is good!

Right, we're both bathed / hairwashed and in pj's. Now to persuade ds to go to bed ....

Somehow the flat I tidied earlier has morphed back to its former state already :o Todays spends = £1.90 on an ice-cream for ds while we were waiting for the bus parade to come.

A good day today, ds was an angel this morning for some reason and has had a good day at school too, being moved up to white books :j :j

Its been a nsd which is always a bonus, hoping for a relaxing evening as I'm quite tired tonight. Nothing much else to report really :)

Yay to your ds. Happy reading tonight. What level of books is 'white' in his school? Does he read the Biff, Chip & Kipper books?

Another day done, £5 profit from a bin on ebay, 60p spent on a hot chocolate at work as I was freezing :o Other than that nothing significant to add, plan for the rest of the day involves some tidying up, maybe my davina dvd, dinner and some comping :)

Had dinner, my new favourite thing is roasted veg, so did a load and cooked some pasta, with enough of each to take to work for lunch tomorrow :) Def need to stock up on lots more veggies this week as I'm eating loads this way, but have cut back on carbs so is all good for ww, just hoping the scales notice soon :p

Got home to find a note from ex-mil thanking me for the present ds gave his grandad (would be nice if he could bother to say thankyou himself ;)), but then the point of the note was actually to ask if they can have ds to stay in the summer. Now I know he's their grandson etc etc, they do see him regularly when he's at his dads, but I'm not very keen on it tbh. Ds has been quite funny about staying overnight, even at his dads recently. They wanted him for a week last summer , I said no, and let them have him for 3 days/2 nights. They haven't said how long they want this year but if I agree to it then it won't be any longer than that again anyway. Part of me thinks its a good idea, but then I'm the one who will have to drive 200 miles each way if ds decides he isn't happy about staying, and also if his dad decides he wants him in the summer as well then I know it sounds selfish but I feel like saying he's not a bloody library book to be lent out when its convienient!! and also, I'm the one who does everything all year round for him on my own, then they all swan along in the summer wanting a week here and a week there  Part of the reason I do the job that I do is so I can spend the time with him in the holidays, I could earn proper money otherwise but I'd rather sacrifice that to be with him. Grrr, I know I'm sounding possessive and irrational, and some of it comes down to me seeing them as part of my old life and wanting closure on it. I know he's still their relative, I know, I know, I just needed to rant :o:o

  • Rant away Benben, your thread, your life...understandable that you are trying to move forward with your life and not look back and you already know the rational stuff of them 'still' being Ds's present life so you'll do what's right while making sure it suits you and DS as best as possible...but your rant makes sense, take care x
