Seller has refunded my costs and said I dont need to return it. I think now though as she's done that without a fuss I probably will return it to her after all :)

Morning all :) 50p on the scratches today, the life insurance has tracked on quidco (£50) and last night I ordered 3 lots of vitamin E cream (that I normally use but am getting low on), from the Body Shop (£9 per tub, but got all 3 for £13 and £1.95 has tracked on quidco already :T).

The sun is shining here today, need to wrap dads present, do the mystery shop, go to mum and dads for lunch then get back here ready for the estate agent coming round :)

Aww I'm sorry to hear that Tigz, sending you big hugs :o:o Its never nice news is it, even if expected or even when you know it means they are no longer suffering its sill upsetting :o

Postie has just been and brought my building insurance reminder (£219) and another water bill (£70), which means my water bills which have always been £40 and £60 every 6 months since I moved here have suddenly gone up to £43 and £70  Hmm, will need to get them both paid later.

I've realised where I've gone wrong, when I sorted the budgets a couple of months ago I somehow had managed to find the money for the tv / car repairs even though I had assumed my tax credits overpayment would be needed for this. In fact, this 'extra' money was the money that was supposed to have gone into the savings account for the water / car maintenance etc etc ... so basically now I am short in those areas. However, I did have an extra £74 in the xmas fund budget (was going to use towards ds pressies), but will now move that into one of the pots to recover some of the deficit. Later on I will work out what else is needed and try to get back on track.

Decision is made, we're staying put :o:o
The estate agent came round and he reckons it would go on the market for £60 and sell for £155 :( I bought it for £162 so am not gonna be doing that. I had reckoned on it going on the market for £170 and selling for £160 minimum, so its unlikely to be feasible below that. My gut instinct now is to stay put for another 12 months, save as much as possible in that time, and then see where we're at then. Part of me is almost relieved as I would have been using every possible penny I had (and some), and may have been stretching it too far, but part of me is disappointed too :o

  • Benben you can put it on the market for your figure and if it doesn't sell for the figure you want/need then so be it, nothing lost, but you've only a chance of getting the right figure if you put it on the market. Whenever I watch house programmes they get 3 estate agents in for the valuations and they are usually polls apart between the highest and lowest so don't take his word as completely correct.

On the other side of the coin I can understand that its a relief in terms of pushing/stretching yourself too soon or before you are really ready.
