I often think that on a Wednesday which is my day off - I get the house tidy and think that if only I can make sure we put stuff away when finished with it, then it should remain tidy for the weekend. Somehow it never works.... and by the weekend the house is looking like a total tip again.0

I'm just the same, Dangers. I live alone most of the time except when my two youngest children come round for a couple of hours on a Wednesday and every weekend. I can't believe how scruffy the house gets - I've set myself a deadline of next Sunday week to get everything straight but such is my lack of motivation that I probably won't meet it.
BB - re your Devon trip. I reckon I have missed out altogether as I still haven't heard from The Sun yet. Looks like the deadline for hearing back is a week tomorrow but I think it will be bad news myself.0 -
Dentist call has been done :T feeling very proud of myself for doing that one! I've also printed off the various bits and pieces, all ready in enveloped ready to go in the post, also have placed a qualifying bet for tonight and have another reload offer just arrived in my inbox, I will get that one done then give the mortgage people a callMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

£3 profit so far from the reload offer with the £10 bonus to be credited tomorrow, will need turning over but hopefully will come out of it with some more profit
Just been reflecting on my admin tasks, the gym membership and life insurance savings will save me £47 per month  All will be going stright into the mortgage pot obviouslyMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Well I've rung the mortgage company, and its gonna be touch and go
They said that based on my income they could lend me £53k (over 25yrs) or £57k (over 30 yrs). It doesn't worry me it being over a longer time frame as I could still overpay. So, now I need to see if it is realistic. I need to get a valuation done on the flat then crunch some figures. I reckon I could sell realistically for £160k, which would mean I would be able to buy somewhere for £198.5k. Obviously I would also have whatever else I can save in the time it takes to go through too. I already have money in my isa's which could be used for selling/solicitors fees, but I would be completely wiped out
Oooh, decisions, decisions  Also, the valuation could come back either better or worse which could change the situation slightly too.

I've still got an hour and a half before I go to mums so I'm going to sort the banking again and see how I'm doing this month, I'm hoping its not too bad as I haven't spent much this weekMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Sounds as though you have had a very productive day BB.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0

I need to get back to work - have spent loads this week. Took some cash out of the bank on Monday and have spent it all already. Some weeks, I can have money in my purse for ages as I don't really have time to go out and spend it.0

£8 profit from tonights matched bet  It could possibly be £13 but its unlikely (the odds changed as I layed the bet), so I'm counting £8 for now and the extra fiver will be a bonus if I get lucky
Had a not very nice realisation when I was at mums, I have no money put away for car maintenance/mot at the momentIts not due until June and I spent a fiar bit on it last year so am hoping that this year may be cheaper, but I need to start putting some aside, not too sure how I forgot to do this for the last few months

Good news re the mortgage, when will you get an estate agent round? Will you get more than 1 valuation?
Hopefully your car won't cost too much for MOT, do they still do a pre-mot thing? Just to give you an idea of what it will cost?
Fab news re saving money on gym/life ins...:D
