Negative Feedback Threat
Comments

OP can report it to Ebay however I don't think they would help her in anyway as there was no swearing or abusive threats being made. All it says is "get back to me asap before I leave a feedback" and that can be seen as " do come back to me asap to resolve an issue I have before I leave feedback and purchase is completed". So as far they are concerned, buyer has contacted a seller to resolve an issue they have.0

I wouldn't refund the buyer a penny, if they leave a negative report it as feedback extortion and get it removed.0

I do not expect to pay for paypal fees, petrol cost and your time??? etc. I (personally) would pay up to a £1 (and that may include whatever, even petrol costs but as I wouldn't know I wouldn't care) more then actual postage cost and although I would not send an email in such abusive tone, I would send one and expect you to refund some of the money.
Sorry to be the one to break it to you but every time you buy something on ebay you ARE paying the sellers ebay and paypal fees plus extra, that’s how profit works, or did you think ebay was made up of charities?
whether those fees are in the postage charge or in the sale price you pay them, no way around it that's just business for ya.
the naivety of people who think that if fees are not being charged in the postage they are not being charged at all amazes me, they just put them in the sale price instead,0 -
I can’t see any negative feedback threat?? What is there to report? I think you were far too quick to judge the seller simply wants your views on the issue before they leave feedback. I get these type of messages a sensible polite reply explaining the cost of packaging etc is included in the price normally works. I think your reply will definite get you a negative unfortunately.0

Well the way I see it is yes, I do pay for all of those fees and they are covered in the purchase price, not the p&p.
So when I sell anything, my sale price covers my ebay and paypal fees and my effort for doing it all and my p&p charges cover postage and packaging of the item, that is it.0 -

This is exactly why Ebay are slowing making everything postage free because people are overcharging for postage to cover costs which should really be inculded in the purchase price. Postage and packaging cost should be that. Cost of the stamp and maybe upto a £1 to cover packaging depending on what your sending.0 -
Oh come off it,
The tone of the letter is... Do this or else.
get back to me asap (DO THIS) before I leave feedback (or else)
What she gonna do leave positive feedback? Seriously..0 -
Yes she could well leave a positive if you sort it out properly. You have charged an excessive amount of postage, you have admitted to adding paypal fees to the postage ..which breaches ebay rules. Refund her half the difference and you may well avoid a neg.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I didnt include paypal fees for the entire purchase just the postage.
If they pay 2.80 for P+P I get 2.65 when postage costs 2.80.... that was my point. Theres 3% bump to cover the P+P take from paypal.. Thats not unreasonable imo, as otherwise your taking a loss to even post the item. Then theres the envelope cost0 -
Soolin... how is it fair if i cant even add the 3% paypal charge on the P+P fee? If i charged exactly the right postage cost of envelope + postage cost i'd be paypals fee out of pocket... Thats a bit overboard if you ask me0
