After some investigation it seems that Autobytel are sourcing the car from this dealer
http://www.inchcaperetail.co.uk/DealerLocator/DealerLocatorDetail.aspx?DealerID=21 (Autobytel UK are part of the Inchcape p.l.c. group)
and offering a further £500 discount for car purchased in April0 -

Sorry, my mistake.
I don't understand where you're getting the spain bit from? The site says they are built in UK and from UK suppliers?
The Ka has always been built in Spain, not the UK. In fact as far as I know, the only Ford which is built in the UK is the Ford Transit which is built in Southampton. Some Ford engines are built in the UK.0 -
Oh right. I didn't know that.
I dont think I'm gonna bother with this offer.
I only have a small income part time job, and have a citroen saxo worth about £1300.
Which would mean getting a loan for £3700. At 19 years old. Not a good idea?0 -

It's been a very long time since any Ford car was built in UK. It was probably a Ford Escort at Halewood plant in Liverpool.
Dagenham dustbins are no longer produced. (remember the Cortina, I had one)
I think Dagenham is building only diesel engines now.0 -
I would not buy a Ford Ka (or ford Kak as i call them).
The resale value of the car in 3yrs will be worse than a citroen saxo. If you plan to keep the car in the family then its a good idea to buy it, but if you want to p/x the car against a real car in 2years time, expect a shock on the trade in value on the car.
Find these entry level cars come very basic hence why they are cheap. A better buy would be a suzuki swift etc which come with more goodies for them long days sitting in traffic.
I drive a Clio 182, its ok..has its issues but i know when i come to p/x the car next year, ill be looking at £7k trade in against something. Currently owe £4800 on the car with its market value of about £9200 now.
The KA is cheap to insure, but you have to remember its a small car, built for round town driving. Its not a big Audi A4 TDI for comfort, its something for running the shops, short runs to work and back. Prob dont put someone in the back as they will have very little leg room.
Before i bought the clio, i wanted a Sports KA, but i woke up and smelt the coffee. The 1.6 was rather slow for a mans car.
I get 42mpg out the 182 if i drive it normal below 3,000rpm, if i go over that im looking average about 30mpg but a very very big smile and lots of cars overtaken.
Shame the tyres are £93 each. Cant money save on them...
Damn Michelin Pilot Exalto's PE02's 205/46/16 - Kwik fit price £136, i need 2. Shame.0 -

I have had my Audi A4 TDi for 7 years now. It is a car that will last forever, as it has 190,000 miles on the clock and will go on for double that mileage.
Never buy tyres at Kwikfit, as they are are always crazy rip off prices. I always use HiQ.0 -

I never said it was cheap to run, which it has not been, but it will last forever if you have deep pockets.(My pockets now have holes in, so it is going this year)0
