Hi everyone,
Well done to those who have managed to stick within their grocery budgets this month and to those who didn't quite manage it, I hope September will be a better month for you.
Just to let you know that the September Grocery Challenge is up and running here
I'll unstick the August Challenge later today but please keep posting into this thread if your month hasn't finished yet.
Good Luck to everyone taking part in the September Challenge.

Just completed last shopping of the month - spent £30.53 which is about £10 more than I should have if I had stuck to the list  and not added in meat items I really didn't need! Oh well they will be used up in September I suppose.
So declaring at £158.44 not bad, £11.56 under budget. :T
Please Mrs MC can you put me down for £120.00 for September as will be away for 2 weeks from 22nd.
Thanks0 -
Hi All,
Haven't posted here much this month but have come in just under budget at £191.48!!!!
Next week will be a 5 week month so I would like to go for £250 please Mrs M. I was hoping to reduce this but the Puddleglum juniors have been on holiday for a week longer than me and while I have been at work they have been going through the cupboards like a plague of locusts and there will be a lot of replacing to do.
Still we are much, much, much more in control of the spending than we were before Mum went to Grocery Challenge!
Thanks for all your help and good luck for September everyone."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
I still am Puddleglum - phew!0 -
Evening everyone, just caught up with thread, not posted much but have been adding total up as we have gone along.
Would like to Declare at £165.43 for this month.
Mrs MC could you please put us down for £160 for SEPTEMBER.
See you all next month.'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -
Been tonight on the Tesco Express chocolate run, spending another £2. I would therefore like to declare at £93 for two of us; I feel the fact that Mr. Fire Fox was away for ten days is mitigated by my still bulging freezer and cupboards! :TDeclutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
