Declaring at £133.24
Having realised that lots of my budget before was not actually groceries the actual spending was better than I realised. I'll set a harsher budget to aim for next month!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -

Had another good Whoopsie haul at Mr M last night - paid £4.13 for goods with a shelf value of £15.93. The two biggest savings were on a dozen free range eggs (29p instead of £2.62), and a real treat for tonights tea. Even at Whoopsie price I've blown the budget for a main meal, but I could resist as I still have loads this months budget left.... 2 individual Beef Wellingtons with a shelf price of £6.49 reduced to £2 :T
Signature updated to end of yesterday. May need to nip out for a few bits today (got a load of fruit from a friend this week, so have some preserving to do but may be short of some bits to complete the jobs - in particular I have the plums for Old Dowerhouse Chutney, but I'm not sure on the rest of the ingredients), but plan to make tomorrow a total NSD while I do a stock-take on my freezers and meal plan for next monthCheryl0 -
Declaring at £324.67
That's over by £44.67 - not brilliant, but I do know where it's gone. We don't seem to have cooked many of the meals I have stored in the freezer, but bread and fillings consumption has shot up - we have been out and about though with it being the holiday. And I've been starting to restock the packed lunch cupboard - got all three on them this year (one only doing once a week at playgroup, but it adds up).
On the plus side, it means the freezer is still reasonably healthy. And ... 13 NSDs in a 28 day month - a record for me- going to see if I can get it past the halfway mark next month.

Been out for the bits I needed to make my chutney, which cost me £3.57
But I couldn't resist the chilled goods Whoopsies in Mr M :rolleyes2 The chap was taking everything down for a second time, so I spent a further £2.77 on goods worth £11.51. Sorted our meals for a good few days - 2 ready meals (probably for Tuesday) for 74p instead of £2.99 with Cheese & Garlic Dough Balls for 39p instead of £1.29, and a large chicken (which will do at least 4 meals) for £1.25 instead of £5.94 :T I think we'll have chicken and chips tomorrow for the first, as it's a good looooong while since we had that
I've reduced my months budget by £3.60 as elder DS left home to go back to work a couple of days earlier than expected, but I'm still less than two thirds of the way through it - and I have mountains of food in for next month alreadyCheryl0 -
Declaring at £131.57 for August, over by a mile but our freezer went on the blink part way through the month so I'm blaming it!
See you all on the new thread!!0 -
Declaring £139.26 but we decided to have a holiday from home this year, and OH was off for 2 weeks and eats like a horse - plus we have been having a lot more puddings and cakes as I've had time to bake during the holidays. Not too disappointed with that, but must do better when I go back to work. I think it's all of these shop-bought salads we've been having too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
