Ok declaring at:eek::eek::eek::eek: £400.86!!!!!!!! looks alot worse than it is, all veg seeds & growing bits come from gc and I've been buying them reduced for planting and feeding us next year. Also I am off to Norfolk later today but dh,dd1,ds2 will only be there for the weekend then are back home for work, normally if I'm not here I would batch bake before hand but decided this time to leave bits they would have to put together I have been unable to work for a few years due to health and they seem to forget that (:oand its worsening) so they are having a little reminder of when I'm not able to fix it, sort it, deal with it, or cook it week! Whilst me and my library books have time off, please can you put me down for £250 for September (Iwill try and make up for this month:D) See you in September good luck everybody

  • I don't know what happened  But I didn't fill in much of my spend diary just have a pile of small bits of paper with numbers on :o

Didn't seem to do a lot of grocery shopping this month, mainly fruit and veg. SO hopefully about the target.

Is there anyone here that does their "spending diary" as a spreadsheet. I think i'd keep that up to date easier. I'm on the computer everyday. This is the second month i've let it slack! SO if anyone has any tips please post them. Thank you.

Yep, me :) I soooooo can't work on bits of paper!!!

Everything I have to keep track of in this house goes into spreadsheets, from what I've spent in the shops, to what direct debits have gone from/are still to go from my bank account, to what food I have in my freezers :rolleyes2

  • I would like to declare £100 for my august total - I was a few pennies under budget but not enough to make a difference. Will go and sign up for September. :D

Morning all - declaring at 469.82 for this month please. Less than £20.00 over budget which for my first month I was quite pleased with as it included bits of school uniform and cooking bits.

Off to sign up to September now! xxx

No1. Pup is doing so well for a doggit with something not unlike a king-sized duvet wrapped around his foot! He has to have the dressing changed again on Monday, but he's been so much calmer the past two times that the vet has said we must be 'dog whisperers' on the quiet because he hasn't needed sedation.
No2. I've some spends to add to my total..maybe another £60  but some of that is stuff if Pup's bandages come off between now & Monday. I'll update when I've fathomed it mesen :o
N03. I was watching that hunky-munk James Martin this morning & the guest chef made cottage cheese with jersey milk, vegetable rennet & some j-cloths! I immediately thought of you MrsMc so perhaps you could see it on i-player as they spoke about using different types of milk, but the recipe is on the bbc website.

  • Declaring at £252.51 for August. A bit over but I'm not going to beat myself up too much as there are both son's birthdays in August plus the 'just popping out for stuff for a bbq' bits which took it over.
