Argh!! Missed the marks in August, pay day tomorrow so I'll start again, I think£300 for September (blinking fussy cats cost a fortune to feed! It would be cheaper to feed them on tinned fish and fresh meat but I don't know if it would be any good for them?)Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

Hi - declaring £304 for August - £4 over but I'm not upset about that as this is the first proper month of doing this. We spent £25 today but some of that is for September lunch boxes. Going to Lid! tomorrow so will spend about £52 as we have 2 £5 vouchers for them from the Daily Star so will split the shopping to 2 lots of £30 to get £5 off each shop. Cupboards and freezers will be well stocked and everyone goes back to school on 7th Sept so shopping bill will go down then [hopefully!]
Well done everyone and thanks for your help
Thank you to the ladies who do all the hard work on this thread with recipes and targets

Just a small spend of around £8 today for a few fresh bits so I can get on with my batch cooking at the weekend. Working at home today & in the office tomorrow – don’t want to have to face the supermarket at the weekend. Meant to get some hamster food & bedding but forgot, so they will go at the top of next week’s list. Hamster isn’t home, with DD, until next Wednesday anyway.
I should have everything in for my batch cooking session at the weekend & that should produce enough dinners for the freezer for the next two months! But I will have to re-check my stock inventory afterwards; as I am not entirely convinced it is 100% accurate at the moment.
Still, I have three days of cooking ahead of me & am thoroughly looking forward to it. I guess it is my creative thing! I always have a great sense of satisfaction when I see all my individual meal portions created out of whatever whoopsies I have previously stashed.0 -
Hi All
Declaring £191.64 for August - YAHOOO!!!!
Still have enough BBQ stuff for the next couple of sunny days
£80 for September as away for the last 2 weeks and need bits and bobs - more toiletries and fabric softener etc than food which all come out of this budget
