Heads Up for Harrod's Grotto Tickets - SORRY!

why are people calling/ asking about who needs tickets when the website clearly states:
Please be aware:The Grotto booking fee is non-refundable.
The £5 booking fee is credited to the customer's Rewards card and is valid only for the day of the visit to the Grotto. If you are not currently a Rewards cardholder you can sign up to the Rewards programme online before booking your ticket.
Tickets can be printed at home as an e-ticket.
Bookings must be made via the web and not via telephone or e-mail.
All adults, children and infants visiting the Grotto require a valid ticket.
HTHloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

She said just stop trying to book both ways as they are closing it down now! the system with the funny name could not handle the bookings

The above statement is tosh as numerous people have booked via phone, no charges are now being levied and you now don't need a rewards card.0 -
Got all the way to confirming it and it told me there were not enough seats

It is down now

Managed to book by phone just after 3pm this afternoon. Got evening slot on 23 December - later time slot than I wanted but I wanted that week if at all possible.
Thanks to everyone on this site...I wouldn't have phoned if it wasn't for the advice on here. Also, must say we (a colleague at work) and I phoned several times and were put through to an automated message that told us to use website and then hung up automatically. We just kept trying until we got a real person and even then we were refused twice to book over the phone. Third time lucky as they say.0 -

Same here, been trying all day on and off. Wouldn't mind so much, but managed to get through last week to the bitter end without the page with a reference number, and now it doesn't look like I am likely to get them. My DS doesn't know any difference, but I am disappointed for him as he has never been before, and, as I said in previous post, it had become a bit of a tradition that has come to an end, all because everyone is trying to book at the same time. I am annoyed with Harrods as they were originally trying to charge in a round about way, too.0 -
I know that I didn't have this problem last year. i don't mean the problem with the site but the tickets being gone.
Think there must be an issue because I have just tried it (was still connected on one window and it tells me no seats so may wait until they are back up again.
My DS and DD didn't know about it either but did want to take them so they can look forward to it.
Oh well. Great news for those that have got tickets though.January Grocery 11/3740 -
I was quite lucky, rang and complained and I was phoned back within 10 mins to book my tickets. Managed to get a sunday November not December but The kids will love it0

Just phoned and spoke to a lady in customer services - phone bookings will be taken on 0207 893 8877 from 9am tomorrow.
It seems Omnia couldn't guarantee online bookings so Harrods are not using them anymore?
Maybe next year they might use a different system, even a lottery or ballot would be fairer than this years mess.

who'se a bit fedup after having Christmas Eve tickets 3 times only to be booted out at stage 5 each time.Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
well after trying all afternoon i managed to get a confirmed booking at 16:54 for 1st December (PM) via the website so confused by the comments that the site was down!? i really don't think Harrods have a clue what they are doing
