got a lovely dress for my flowergirl in bhs (they had a sale) now all i have to do is cross my fingers and hope she doesn't grow at an outstanding rate between now and then (although i was smart enough to get her a size bigger than what she's wearing now :j
here's the dress http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/655042/2285960 -
best thing is she's going to absolutely love it... she's such a little girlie girl and loves dressing up.
bonus is that the sash round the front and back (not the little butterfly bow though) can be removed from the dress easily and if i can get material to match my bridesmaids dress i can get a little sash made in that colour so she can still match0 -

I'm totally undeceided on the matter of a flowergirl. I wasn't going to have any at all, then I changed my mind and I'm having one adult MOH/Bridesmaid (someone to help me stay calm when waiting to go in the room!) and I may have a flowergirl but I'm not totally decided so won't say anythingto anyone until I'm sure.. don't want to go breaking a little girls heart if i decide not to (which someone did to me when I was about 5 and I'm stll bitter now! :rotfl:)0 -
I love the dress gandy, it's gorgeous! I am too undecided on flower girls & ring bearers. Not sure it might be a little too much, but OH has 2 neices and a nephew who would all be perfect....hmmm I can't decide!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009
Loss so far 3 stones & 7 lbs!! :j

spent most of today with OH getting our save the date cards done.
we made them at moo.com, using just the mini cards (100 for £11.99) and spent about 3 hours picking out 20 lyrics out of songs we both like as we both love music and gigs and we put them on.
OH also manage to get a 20% discount code so they only worked out at £12.59 inc p+p
at least that's another thing off the list, we also sat down and made our first "draft" of who we're inviting. will run it by the parentals making sure we haven't missed anyone but it's looking okay :rotfl:
it was nice having the day with OH, it's been too long since we've had a weekend where we weren't doing anything, we're gutted the parental meeting didn't happen (volcano and flying from scotland don't mix atm) but we'll just have to plan it for another time!0 -
another update! lol
phoned and provisionally booked our wedding car (1954 Rolls Royle Silver Dawn), haggled a bit and got some discount too :T
another thing to tick off the list *yay*
have yet to pay a deposit but we'll probably do that on a weekend home so we can have a quick look at the car before hand and make sure it's what we want.
ohohohohoh and the save the dates arrived today and they look great!0 -
Hi everyone!! i'm so happy i can finally join your thread and say i'm getting married on the 28th May 2011!! but i'm afraid i haven't done as much planning as you guys have!! infact all i have done is booked the registry office! eek i have a feeling i have lots and lots to do!!0
-
congratulations... you've got plenty of time to get things sorted. as plenty of people have been telling me choose one thing to get sorted at a time and just do them a bit at a time and you'll find you get lots of things done fairly quickly.
another update for me, we've been mulling over our photographer for a while.
i love photography, love taking pics as does my OH and i'm usually the mad one shaddowing the official photographer on the day of my friends weddings.
for each of my friends weddings i've created a hand made guestbook/photo album, took polaroids during the day and stuck them in and gave them a book at the end of the day so they have something immediately... i've also made one of my friends cry cause she loved it so much. so understandably i was willing to spend a bit of money on this but even so the prices were making me want to cry.
finally think though we've hammered out a great deal with the photographer we wanted, it's expensive but i get the duo album i fell in love with (a mix of traditional mounted and storybook pics), a full days of pics (from prep to evening party) and a disc of the high res pics at the end with a discount of £600 quid. :j:j:j:j
it's still going to be expensive but it'll be a lovely memory of our big day!
just have to get the OH to look over the quote and then get the deposit paid :T
whoops another long post lol0 -

Hi, I posted a while back and was a 21st May bride, but have no changed to a 28th May.
How stupid am I.... I didn't even know this was a bank holiday weekend! Not sure that it really makes much difference to us, but nice I suppose for other people to have a long weekend afterwards to recover!
So far all we've done is paid the caterers the deposit and the vicar.
