Hi Angela,

Due to slight problems with our venue they have moved our booking from the ballroom to the marquee (which we wanted in the first place but it was originally too expensive). We're getting married on 28th and were worried about rain but our marquee has a solid floor and if it's raining the only issue might be with noise in which case we'd crank the background music up.

Hopefully end of May will be nice- last couple of years the end of may has had better weather than July and August and if memory serves me the end of May last year was one of the hottest of the year (we went to edinburgh for our anniversary and it was stoooopidly hot!) So that's what we want next year

Wedding venue is booked and deposit paid! OH very happy as they are letting him hook up am xbox to the tv in the bar area so we (he!) can play guitar hero and stuff :rotfl: Will keep folks entertained while we are photos taken, I guess :rotfl:

Hey girls, I'm also a May 28th bride! (well, provisionally, we havn't booked yet but pretty set on that being the date) Cant believe how many people are getting hitched then! We have done hardly anything, provisionally booked the ceremony venue but not anything else, best get our skates on!

We're getting hitched in Scotland outside, so starting to have a think about shelter...Due to the venue we can only have free-standing gazebo-type things that aren't too big, does anyone have any tips for where we might find them in the glasgow/stirling area?

28th is popular because it is a bank holiday weekend. I chose 29th because that is our 'anniversary'

Yeh, didn't realise it was initially. We're going for that date because his birthday is 28th March and mine is the 28th April, seemed a logical progression.

We've booked for 1:30pm the same day!! moneysaving and everyone gets the bank holiday to recover
