21. And upon the Day of Judgement when the bank statement doth arriveth, thou shalt not step neatly over the doormat but shalt stoop benignly and openeth the Epistle. For when the Demons of Mammon who distribute such Woe have applied Unfair Charges upon thy bank account, thou must be ready to swoop and demandeth these Charges back. For thy Word is Law. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160

MinnieSpender- your last point so true( as are the others). My Nationwide bill arrived yesterday, a total oversight that the £7.21 had not been paid ( husband used for pen pal payment) NW added £20.00 overcharge payment- unreal for such a small bill.
Do continue with your words of wisdom, they are such fun!He who laughs last thinks slowest.
I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.

Thank you for the compliment, Alexandra! I've been jazzing up the stuff I've noticed around me (as have others! good going gang!) for this thread. Number 21 occurred to me after my bank decided to charge me £30 for non-payment of a £9 direct debit (which I didn't know was due to go out, having recently changed electricity suppliers thanks to Mr Lewis's book). They tried a similar thing a few months ago and after five emails, two phone calls and a stern letter, I got the charges back. Tut tut. They should have known better this time round. Two emails and one letter sent so far! There's lots of good advice on this theme elsewhere on the board - go and have a look and then, give 'em hell! Thou shalt not get addicted to MSE ,constantly quoting to people all your expertise, and realising you sound an anorak, but not caring.
Though shalt TRY not to keep closing down the page every time thy other half walks into room(lucky he trusts me!)0 -

And furthermore, thou shalt not buyeth a "cheeky little Chianti" from the Holy Temple of Asda because it was only three sovereigns and fourpence and proceedeth to drain the bottle upon the Sabbath eve whilst talking gibberish to thy chum upon the telephone. For when the Sabbath cometh, thou must appear bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and NOT a quivering wreck which cannot openeth one's eyes far enough to find the paracetamol.

22. Thou shalt let wisdom be thy guide. Desist from maiming thy OH when he doth devoureth yonder lunchbox cakes and remembereth that revenge is a dish best eaten cold. Rise early on the morn and placeth thou a dry hunk of bread and half an apple in each lunchbox. In thy offsprings' boxes place an epistle which sayeth "thy father ate thy lunch." In thy OH's box place nothing more. Upon the evening will thy OH be greeted by the mewling of thy offspring who will cry and rent their shirts at their father's misdemeanour. I say, he wilt not do it again. And thou wilt appear an angel. :A:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

When thou have had to reduce thy worship at the temple of oh great MSE, due to the evil that is known as 'studying', thou shalt not greet this with joy, oh no! Thou shalt not see this as an excuse to spend thy coins, even though thou knowest thou shalt have no time that eventide for the posting of thy sins on oh holy MSE. Thus, thou shalt not encounter the wailing of thy fellow worshippers and shalt not come to repent of thy sins, and thus thy leakage of coins shalt continue!
Back to the books for meCan you tell I've been working hard?! :rotfl:
