? Just being nosy, as I would never in a million years even think of doing this.
She says that rainwater is dirty. I haven't got a clue if she is right. Until my washing turns black with the rain, I won't be re-washing it.We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -

She does have a bit of a point - have you never seen dirty cars after certain rains? It's worse by the coast, but every so often after a shower (and normally a quicky sun-dry) you can see the amount of crap that came down with the water, all over your car...
Of course, I wouldn't do the washing again, but rain water really is pretty dirty..0 -
Years ago it would get dirty if you lived around coal fires etc, but you don't get too much of that these days. Or if you live near the coast.
As Clarabel says, things are quite often softer if they have been 'rinsed' with rain water.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I wouldnt dream of washing it again
This afternoon I brought in a load of towels that have been soaked twice, straight in the cupboard they went:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
ewwww yes I would wash it again, but not for a light shower but if it was soaked I'd certainly wash it again, I don't know why but I do it!!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

wash it again???
I've seen my washing out for 3 or 4 days if it keeps getting repeatedly rained on & it's never come back in dirty or done it any harm, in fact it's softer & smells far nicer than any fabric conditioner0 -
Never washed it again but if I am home I have been known to run out to the line like a madwoman pulling it all off,.. then 10 mins later put it all back when the blasted sun comes out...:rotfl:#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I agree with you both, washing can feel softer and fresher with a few rain rinsesEverything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I just wouldn't ever waste the electricity on washing it again. Bird poo, definitely. Smoky bits from people's BBQs, yes, but just rainwater? Definitely not. It usually makes washing feel softer & fresher than straight out of the washer.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
