Good luck with the appointment - I'm good in general, I'm narked at one of my mystery shopping organisations, but nothing serious. Dreaming about what chev, a long time member, has posted on another diary, about swimming (she lives in New Zealand) .......... very nice!

  • Just got through the most awful week - but I think I'm out the other side again.

Can feel my head going back in the sand sometimes - so any words or kicks to get me back on track will be greatly appreciated.

I REALLY need to get on with this and pay that money back. How on earth do the 'long haulers' keep going?

I can't think of anything else other than debt, losing home etc etc etc!

Nobody to blame but me though! :o

    Hi hettie,

Sorry to hear you are having such an awful time - I'm not surprised you are feeling fed up with them not listening to your letters and phoning that much.

I suppose all you can do is take comfort in the fact that you are dealing with this - the only thing to do is to tackle it head on. And try as hard as you can to imagine life after this.

Have you posted on the long haul support thread? They might be able to give you a bit more constructive advice. I'm sure this isn't doing much good for your health either.

    Hugs from me xx

Hettie, rather than using this thread to post only when you feel bad, you might want to use it as your portable to-do list, like a diary - or start a new diary, on the sub-board. Its a massive, massive boost - explore the other diaries, because honestly thats how long haul people *do* cope - by laughing, and sometimes crying, with one another. If you click on my name, Karmacat, you'll see a lot of my posts are on my diary (Karmacat: to infinity and beyond) - and many of the people who post on there also have their own diaries, which I visit. You end up - well, with too many diaries to visit, to be honest - but also with people who are sharing the journey with you.

    hi hettie.

have just read through your whole thread and i think you are amazing. you have come so far, whilst struggling with your health problems.

i love the letter you wrote to n/wide - it seems that some banks just don't want to listen. i don't know if this is advisable or not, especially as you will soon have the advocate to help you, but could you make an appointment with your local n/wide branch manager, taking all the paperwork and see if they can make any headway?

    keep on keeping on x
  • Thanks to all of you.

Karmacat - I will start a diary tomorrow. Thank you.:A

Good for you! I'll try to remember not to just use the User CP button, so that I see you.

  • Hi Hettie have been wondering how you are, sorry you have been having a difficult time. Not much to add but I think the diary idea is good, sometimes we need to look back to see how far we have come. Thinking of you. x and a hug
