Hi KatyM and thanks yet again.
It's the tagline of 'Nationwide are always helpful blah blah blah' that cracks me up! :rotfl: - talk about a misnomer!
I personally don't think they've learned to read yet - just send the next standard letter.
As long as I don't have to speak to them I can manage the letter writing with a bit of assistance from all of you. This advocate idea seems brilliant though I must say.
I'm hoping for big things from this pyschiatrist, though they did say it will probably be trial and error until they get the treatment sorted properly.
The problem is I only have another 18months to the big 60 so the prospect of returning to work is disappearing fast.
But that's a problem for another day.
Thought you might like this quote I read recently - don't remember where - probably on here knowing how dippy I am sometimes :rotfl:
'EVERY ADDED POSSESSION ONLY INCREASES OUR WEARINESS'.
How true - gave me real food for thought.
If I hadn't bought a lot of this stuff in the first place, I wouldn't be in debt - and wouldn't be spending a great proportion of my day photographing the damned stuff to sell it at a loss! Bright eh?
And they say the older you get the wiser you get!
Thanks again Katy - your input is invaluable to me. :A

Hi Hettie,
Just had a quick read of your updates. Good news about the hospital appointment, I hope they manage to get the advocate thing sorted out quickly.
It's a good letter, very firm and don't mess with me! Hope you get a good response,

Hi Hettie ... the letter sounds great. The duplication about the Ombudsman - if you do want to send the correspondence now, so as to threaten Nationwide, you could say that you're already making copies of everything so as to submit a complaint as quickly as possible. On the other hand, you have to make a complaint via Nationwide's internal system first, as you say in the letter. Still, no harm in doing what I've edited to put in bold...
The letter sounds really good. Very clear, very communicative, nobody can possibly say you're not working your utmost to resolve the situation.
Sorry to hear about the possible bipolar disorder - tho mind you, if you *are*, you must be a comparatively mild case to be undiagnosed so long, which means the medication has a pretty good chance of sorting out the issues involved, I'd think so, anyway. I've certainly had friends with a bipolar disorder who've held down responsible jobs and relationships.
Have a good one - take all the rest you need.

Thanks Karmakat.
Apparantly some people can go along for years without any significant episodes. Mine have started to come more frequently - triggers I suppose.
I've just made some very rash and stupid decisions when I've been thinking I can take the world on.
Strangely enough, people often say about me that 'either the world is your oyster or you are in the depths of despair'. Been very good at hiding it too which I suppose is stupid in the end.
Hopefully they will sort me out.
Hope you are doing ok also. xDebt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615

Yes, thanks, I'm not bad - when I'm down, I get a lot of snuffles of one sort or another - this summer, I've had a virus, swine flu and a cold - my family has been through a disaster this year, and physical illness is just the way it takes me .....
I'm coming through, though, and you will too.
Have a good one

Hi
I haven't posted for nearly a week. Having a bit of a toughy at moment.
Can anyone point me to the templates for stopping harassment please?
Have written to Nationwide on 4 occasions asking them not to call and that they communicate in writing to me. They are now calling literaly 10-20 times per day.
I also have someone knocking my door who I suspect is the Nationwide agent they threatened would call. I told them I would view this as harassment. NOTHING - no response. I have taken a copy of their banking code and complaints procedure, but I don't know where the template is to put the complaint in.
HELP PLEASE! :eek:Debt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615
