Keep up the good work hettie, there will be low points, but also really high points too :-) You can do it girl :-)
xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
Hi Hettie :hello:. Glad to hear you are taking such positive steps and glad the CCCS counsellor has agreed with us - they can't have what you haven't got and to me it appears you are doing everything you can to settle your debts - especially since you have health issues which makes things harder.
I hope the car viewing goes well tonight.
I think I might be tempted to let them (the creditors) know about your illness (why not ask your CCCS counsellor) - it's not just the fact you are unemployed is it but the fact you have health issues and they are unlikely to just dissapear in the short term - hopefully you are getting support from the doctor and things are improving but these things can sometimes take time.
Anyway - you are doing the right thing - the creditors may well take a while to get their heads around the fact that you just don't have the money but stick with it.

Hi all
Sorry I've not been on for a few days.
My son and daughter in law have offered for me to go with them for a caravanning holiday as they think the break will do me good, so we are off later today.
In the meantime the 'nasties' have started with their threatening letters.
Nationwide (who I was originally worried about letting down) have said that I have 'failed to respond to their efforts to contact me'. Luckily I had already followed the CCCS advice and sent another letter to each of my creditors (including this months token payment) and stating that due to health problems (went into small amount of detail and told them about hospital appointment), I am unable to conduct telephone conversations with them and that I wish any communication to be in writing. Nationwide said I am likely to get a visit from one of their agents
What can I do to stop them coming? I don't like playing the 'health' card - although it is true I couldn't cope if people started knocking my door
Car didn't sell - but listed again for this week.
ebayed till my eyes are spinnin in my head! :rotfl:
Blackberries are out now Katy M - so stay in England for few week please!
I am conscious that you all have your own issues and some nasty health problems too, so am sending hugs to you all - that's all I,ve got to give you at present
My daughter in law is brilliant. She arrived yesterday with some goodies for me - hair colour, make-up & BIG CREAM CAKE!
Should count blessings.
Can anyone tell me how to add to my signature at the bottom of my posting?
I'm starting to ramble - sorry.
Will try to get on if sons computer working away from home - if not it will be 2 weeks (think of the peace you'll all have).
Will try to come back more positive - thanks again to all! xDebt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615

A holiday! Lovely - hope you enjoy yourself, just getting away will help for a bit, I'm sure. So do cream cakes, naturally....
As for doing a sig, at the top of any page is a little link called User CP - right after Main Site and Forum .... if you press that, you'll see "edit signature" on the left hand side of the page. It will let you test it out before you save it. Have fun with it - as for Nationwide, by the way, I don't know what they'll take notice of, but I'd acknowledge receipt of their letter and tell them that thats not acceptable, that you would like written communications only. Send it to whoever you've been dealing with, to your branch and to the head office. If you can find out the names of somebody in the Complaints department, say, thta would be even better.
Good luck Hettie2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yeay you're going on Holibobs!!! Hope you have a great time, you deserve a break from it all, how lovely of your son and daughter in law.
I will PM you my address so you can post me some cream cake, ok?:D
Shame about the car not selling, but these things can take time. Are you advertising it in all the local free trade-it papers?
With regards to Nationwide and the other nasties - don't talk about 'playing the health card'. If your health is an issue, it's an issue - it's not your fault and you are not playing on it. You are doing everything you can to sort out your situation and you should not feel ashamed by any means. You have written to them all and explained your situation, you have shown willing, and you have made token payments. What more can you do? Nothing.
Keep at it, and keep sending them letters. And make sure you are keeping copies of all the letters too.
Hipe you come back from your break feeling nice and refreshed :j:jHSBC Loan [STRIKE]£5845.83[/STRIKE] £2500 Barclay Card [STRIKE]£1085.76[/STRIKE] £592.74 Barclays Overdraft [STRIKE]£1100[/STRIKE] £600
