I would definitely report them to the financial ombudsman as they keep ignoring your requests. 10-20 times a day is insane and in my book is harassment whether you have asked them not call or not. You should definitely report them.
Stay Strong.

Hi all.
Thanks for all your kind support.
A question for you if anyone can help please.
If you look at the beginning of this thread, you will see that I was actually feeling very guilty about letting Nationwide down. WELL - those days are gone. They are singlehandedly trying to drive me mad!!!
Anyway - here's the question (and probably a forlorn hope):D
I have a nationwide load with a balance of just under £11k.
On the back of the agreement there are terms and conditions and paragraph 13 reads as follows: (please pay particular attention to bits in red)
'This Agreement takes effect only when it has been signed by both of us.
It is intended to be unsecured and shall not be affected by any existing or future security, except to the extent covered by clause 4 above. It will be withdrawn (without further notice) if you have not accepted it (by signing and returning it) within 30 days of the date on which it is signed on our behalf'. '
I signed and dated it on the 6/5/05 - BUT THEY HAVE SIGNED AND DATED IT 5TH MAY 2004.
Can I dispute the debt?
As I said it's probably a forlorn hope - but boy would I love to get one over on those B******* (oops sorry - language Timothy!)Debt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615

How *very* interesting - I'd head over to the board on loans and whatnot - you need specialised info for that. It certainly looks like you have something. I love the change in attitude!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

You can only do what's right for you, hettie - take a look on the board tho, rather than starting your own, maybe - it can be very intimidating to write that first post.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Hettie
Just been catching up with things as been mega busy at work recently so not much scope for sciving off on here!
Anything happened with the advocate situation yet? I was hoping to hear wonderful superhero type stories that they had flown in and rescued you from the Evil Nationwide villains.
Did you get any joy with selling the second car yet or any of the larger auction items?
That does sound very interesting indeed about the clause on the back of the Nationwide loan agreement - wouldn't it be fantastic to grab them by the short and curlies with that one! Let us know if anything comes of it!
Have you made a decision about selling up and starting a new chapter somewhere else or are you and Mr Hettie going to stay where you are?
Sorry, lots of questions from me lol, but I feel like I need to catch up!:p:p

Ooooo it's nice to have you back KatyM!
Things have been a bit tough as you can tell by my miserable posts.
However - I'm on a bit of an up at the moment so need to make hay while sun shines.
Update:
Raised about £2500 from auction items - not all sold yet so hopefully this will increase.
Car still not sold - have put both on the market now to see which sells first.
Had 1st proper meeting with advocate today. She is brilliant. She also got the CAB chap on the phone. He is going to handle the debt side of things with her. She says that once they start to get letters/calls from the CAB or other official type 'bodies' they change their tune a bit. He is going to push for the interest and charges to be frozen first of all.
The House - Whilst I am still hoping to be able to do F & F's without selling - we are both prepared to do so rather than let this carry on ad infinitum.
So - I am busy stripping paper (my Mum had a love affair with anaglypta and white emulsion) :rotfl:so have started taking it back to the bare walls.
Luckily this involves work rather than money - and as I only sleep about 2 hours per night I do 'night shifts' - though sometimes OH rumbles me and forces me back to bed.
Figure that if the worst comes to the worst I will get the best price for the house if it is renovated properly. Bless my Mum, she luckily kept the maintenance done and had new central heating and windows etc done a few years ago - so it's cosmetic stuff - and now I'm selling everything I own the house looks impressively clutter free and in control - more than can be said for my head 60% of the time;)
I worry because I have days when I DEFO bury my head back in the sand - this place is my lifeline and you are an :A for putting up with me.
I hope that you are ok and that your own things are getting sorted.
Have also started batch cooking and have cut food bill dramatically.
My darling DIL insists that there are to be no presents this year for Christmas other than for my Grandson. Have started a small account seperate from my main one and any amounts under £5.00 I get for ebay items is going to my Christmas fund. What I haven't got - we can't have - but we'll all have the day together which is really all that matters.
I have now definately started to ramble - so time to head for bed - have work to do in the night so need my couple of hours :rotfl:
Have plenty of time for ebaying etc because I have cut my hair again - not fit for public consumption -:eek:
Lots and lots of hugs to you xxxDebt at LBM £60k (July 09) Jan14 £5k Feb14 £4615

Hi Hettie - sounds good. Despite having a dreadful time of it - you're still going - did you report the Nationwide for all that harrassment? If the loan is unenforceable as well - then they willhave to accept what you offer them.
Keep at it -but don't forget to get some rest as well.
