the agreement I have with BG and the original terms and conditions from 2007? I have been told by two of your staff they have no record of this, which I accept is not the same as there bing no record of it. Producing the terms and my agreement would immediately clarify the matter.
I told you, I have the BG booklet with the terms and conditions for the tariffs I referred to in post #10.
However despite repeated requests you won't tell us what tariff you are on or the price you are paying for gas and electricity.
Don't forget you have stated you have the 'pdf' for your tariff and stated it says 670/125 Tier 1 - are you now realising that is not correct?Have Pdf from 2007 ( saved and printed out BTW- ) show in 125's for electric.0 -

Cardew, There is nothing I have posted that is incorrect.
I was sold a fixed rate policy.
When I recently closely examined my gas bill I noticed inconsistencies.
When I enquired about these inconsitencies, on two separate occasions I was told I was on a 670/125 rate and neither member of staff ( nor their managers) could explain the inconsitancies and importantly the underlying reasons for variation in unit amounts allocated and the rise in unit cost.
Whether you have a booklet with all the Tariffs in ,is immaterial, what is being examined is the terms of my agreement described to me , by BG on two separate occasions.
Once we have established this is true agreement then we can establish the unit cost price because we will have a "datum line" to work from
If it is not the true agreement then we have to ask question why these incorrect terms were being supplied to me when I asked for clarification prior to entering into negotiations with BG over my gas bill.
If it is not the true agreement and BG do not have a record of that agreement , then I would ask upon what basis have my gas bills been calculated over the last two years. I would also ask why no record of this agreement has been kept. Perhaps another agency might like to examine why the records are not kept , aqnd upon what basis BG calculates its figures.
I must add agin all BG staff I have spoken to have been polite, helpful; and did their best to supply me with the information I requested.0 -
Sawn John,
I just want to cross reference the codes- this is public domain , right?0 -

Well I am stating that if you were sold a fixed rate policy in 2007 you were ,and will be, correctly charged for 1,143 and 225 Tier 1 kWhs per quarter.
If it was fixed at that tier 1 level, surely you can appreciate that it will stay at that tier 1 level.
You started your input to this thread stating that you had the pdf for your tariff stating 670/125 Tier 1 units. Now it appears that that is not correct!
You have accused BG of criminal activity and that the authorities are aware of this. Now it appears that it isn't correct.
You now say "The BG staff - did their best to supply me with the information I requested" What information? You apparently knew what Tier 1 you should be charged for - you have the pdf remember?
To save your embarrassment you are still refusing to state your tariff and prices of gas and electricity.0 -
Please read that post again carefully . I have a Pdf from this time that shows a 125 rate for electricty. I do not have the Pdf for the gas . I have two confirmation from
BG that the electricity and the gas, are the rates I was on. ie 125/670
I have also stated that the reason I was responding to this thread was the instigator of the thread had experienced a similar set of circumstances to my own. I also added that a converstion with consumer direct revealed that they receive a number of telephone call each day surrounding the percieved manipulation of tariffs.
I state
Either your paid staff are confused , can not find the original agreement, and are inventing data, which could be construed as unlawful
or
your company does have the original data and supporting information required to resolve this, in which case this could be construed as illegal activity. Ie this is a scam.
Now which is it?
I'm off to speak to ofgem to try to find the gas tariffs that BG are unable to provide in writing upon request.
Thank you for the comments you have made so far.0 -
I don't want to confuse matters further (this thread is already confusing enough)...but.....
some energy companies (Npower for example) apporion their Tier 1 qty of units unequally throughout the year. For example, Npower charge 4572kwh of gas at the higher tier 1 rate but as follows:
Nov,Dec,Jan,Feb 882 per month
March 272
April, Oct 271
May,June,Jul,Aug,Sep 46
Annual Total 4572
Therefore, if your 45 day period falls in the winter months you'll get more units at the tier 1 rate than if the 45 day period falls in, say, May.
B G might operate a similar policy. Ask them.0 -

Only 'my company' in the sense I am a customer.
Why not give the gas and electricity prices you pay? That will absolutely confirm which tariff you are on.
However you don't want it to be confirmed do you?0 -
Mike, I'm just here gleaning, testing responses and gathering data.
Check out the thread on n.power price sculpting.0 -

Thanks, but BG have a flat allocation of tier 1 units. It is worked out pro-rata on a daily basis.0
