BG calc of number of higher rate kWh

The tier thresholds were changed when the prices increased on the 18th of January 2008. Therefore any tariff that started prior to this date will be charged at the old thresholds.0

If you look at post #10 I detailed the fixed tariffs from 2007 that have a Tier 1 allocation of 1143/225kWh per quarter.
I stated subsequently that millions of BG customers are on those fixed price tariffs.
As far as I am aware all those fixed price tariffs(fixed for 2 years e.g. Price Promise 2009 and Price Promise December 2009) have a Tier 1 allocation of 1143/225kWh per quarter.
Can you not even contemplate the possibility that you are one of those millions and being correctly charged.
Instead you base the whole of your conspiracy theory on your interpretation of telephone conversations with BG employees. You do no need to see my gas bill to appreciate the principles established
There is absolutely no question that BG charge a daily pro-rata rate for tier 1 units. They do this for many millions of customers.
The 'principle' to be established is if in 2007 you joined a fixed rate tariff with a 1143/225 tier1 allocation or a 670/125 tier 1 allocation.
Everything indicates that you are one on the millions on the 1143/225 scheme.
If you won't show us your bill, why not state what price per kWh you are paying for Tier 1 gas and electricity?0 -

Thank you Cardew. Two paid British Gas employees tell me I am on a 670/125 Tier 1.This is confimed by their managers.
The rate has been fixed for two years from a point in 2007 .
The 670/125 is not reflected in the bill.
What is interesting , early on, the cost per unit of gas is reduced, and the units alloctaed increased and proportionately they match what would have been a 670 @ agreed unit price.
However, later on, the number of units in T1 are increased and the unit cost is also raised.
I am being requested to pay a considerable amount more for the same overall units of gas. This is based on shifting (unagreed) units from T2 into T1. This proportion is maintained, then the price of units in T1 are increased, as they are in T2 later on.
This breaks the terms of definition for a fixed rate because the overall cost of units has risen during the fixed period. . Both the number of units allocated is altered, then the price of the units allocated raised.
So is it misinformation or something else?0 -

There are (annoyingly) a few similar named tariffs that work differently, so if you were as helpful on the phone as you have been here I'm, not suprised the agents got confused.0 -
Smidgey- Thanks for that. If you are on a fixed rate from 2007 for 32 years, why should the unit cost of your gas rise, or the number of Teir 1 Teir 2 units be altered to generate a
hike in your bill?
What do you undrstand by the term fixed rate/ fixed price? Does this mean that someing can cost more during the term of that agreement, or the tariff rate can not be altered?
Please define.0 -
SwanJohn, Thank you . Do different rates relating to 2007 have different reference codes. What are these codes please?0
-
Also: Any BG employee, if I did request this would your company be able to produce
the agreement I have with BG and the original terms and conditions from 2007? I have been told by two of your staff they have no record of this, which I accept is not the same as there bing no record of it. Producing the terms and my agreement would immediately clarify the matter.0 -
Urban,
I'm happy to help.
What tariff do you think you are on?
Cardew mentioned a few similar sounding ones so you can see the type of thing you are looking for - it should be on top of your bill.
Can you remember when you signed up (ideally the month).0 -

I am pretty certain that you now realise that you have made a big mistake and are just trying to save face.
You have made some serious accusations against a company and don't seem to have the courage to admit you are wrong.
However I will try just one more time.
Everything points to the fact that you are not on a 670/125 Tier1 tariff but a 1143/225 Tier 1 tariff.
The evidence for that is that all tariffs in 2007 were 1143/225 Tier 1 tariffs. The 670/125 tariffs were not introduced to 2008.
The fixed tariff for 2 years offered in 2007 is without doubt 1143/225.
We could confirm this if you:
a. Stated what tariff you are on.
b. Tell us what price you are being charged for Tier 1 and Tier 2 gas and electricity.
So why not clear this up once and for all and tell us what tariff you are on and how much you pay for gas and electricity.0 -
Please give me the reference codes and I will tell which code I have been told I was allocated.
This is cross checking and referencing , not trying to catch you out.0
