Poundland have been selling silver foil pouches of compost / growing medium each with a tiny packet of five vegetable seeds (for a pound, obviously). The range I've seen includes tumbling tom tomatoes, chilli, basil and sweet (bell) peppers. I've bought a couple of each and have them on the sunny windowsill in my office. They're all doing really well.

All five of the bell pepper seeds germinated after only about a week, and the seedlings are about 2 inches high and really strong now. I'm going to re-pot them in my lunch hour today :)

Hi can anyone help - I have some Kos lettuce growing in a low tray. But now the stems are around 4cm in length and long and starting to wilt? I only spray them lightly in the morning and early evening.
Do I need to repot? If so what size pot and should I do each one individually?
They are so weak at the moment...

    EDIT > Just realised they're probably all going to die as I should have p r i c k e d them out / repotted ages ago...
Just need to know do I re pot them individually and if so, what kind of thing - was thinking a small yoghurt pot would o per lettuce seedling?

    Ditto on the courgettes...

I planted six and was planning to chuck the worst ones and keep the best but they all look so strong and healthy and I can't kill a healthy plant :D

Will see how they go over the coming months and then maybe donate a could to friends and family or freecycle them.

I've just taken delivery of some seed potatoes from Thompson & Morgan, they're really quite firm and no sign of sprouting (unlike some i bought from No Frills which were already sprouting). Isn't it too late to do anything with these?
