3-gallon black buckets in Asda £1 each. Slightly more squat than the usual household ones. Perfect for flowers and my blueberry bushes, etc.0

Well I managed to get some propagators from Aldi 3 pack for 3.99 so me and the kids have used two of them this morning and sowed 24 tomato and 24 pepper seeds - simply because each propagator holds 24 and the kids wanted one each. My little ones are 5 & 3 so it was something new for them to try and they enjoyed it and Im just hoping it works because I enjoyed it too
hope i havents planted too many though because it has just dawned on me that these will need to be repotted as they grow ... I was just trying to make sure we had enough to keep us going when its time to harvest lol oh well time will tell I suppose. Cannot wait to start my seed potatoes off. They are maris pipers and Im so excited. Got 16 of those so want to try and get hold of a big container or two that I can put a few in to save space.
Has anyone tried the grow bags from wilkos? Are they any good? They have a huge 169L potato grow bag. It looks wide but not very deep ;s0 -
i think i got a small bag from wilkos and it was okay.
im going to have another bash at growing potatoes this year. going to try in grow bags as ive not got enough pots to go round.
im going to try and grow carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and mixed salad in pots too. ive tried tomatoes without much success, but im hopeing to get thier this year.
ive also got some flower seeds scattered where i can as i do like to see wildlife attracted plus am going to try and grow some pumpkins.
got so much to do in the garden as ive got this really invasive weed taking over that needs sorting and unsure how/what to do. it grows by the root system and has 'fluffy' pink flower on a tall stem? biddia i think an old neighbur called it?0 -

Thats an idea! Are they not a bit too thin and flimsy though? do you need to cut drainage holes in the bottom? Thanks0
