    try oatmeal - I think they eat it and it dries them out - but you have to replace it quite often

    OH has prepared his tubs all ready for the runner bean plants he's been given but now hes wondering if its a bit risky to plant them outside yet.:confused:
    Checked last years garden journal to see what we did then but stupid me hadn't made a note of it.

    zarazara - thanks. I had a feeling that this early would be a bit too chancy. They''re good strong looking plants so we don't want to lose them

    will slugs eats readybreak, found a big box of it in cupboard its a year out of date lol

    I dont know, but if they DO then the readybrek glow will make them easier to spot.:rotfl:

    Hi all,

    My strawberry from last summer has re-emerged, with 4 flowers, but some red leaves and also some foamy stuff.
    I looked this up and looks like both red spider mite and mould have got to it - how can I get rid of these?

    This thread is amazing. I am already planning what to grow this year (my first) I have no garden only a 12ft x 3ft balcony that is south facing and sheltered. Gets hot there in summer though. Add that to the fact we are probably moving then things get all complicated.
