Not sure what to do now - u can't transfer OD balances  it clearly says that in the t&cs but i was sure on the website it said u could otherwise im not sure id have bothered...as that's the main thing we've got to transfer! Oh well... now we just have a cc with no purpose...

    GAH!

so now what do i do????????????????????????????

I guess i could use it go give us a months leeway with grocery spends etc so our balance isn't always so close. i mean put groceries and petrol on the card and pay off the following month. BUT that requires discipline. I have it no doubt? And would give us 300ish buffer just in case? hmm.... but if it goes wrong then we end up with more debt! I don't know. Its so confusing :rotfl:

Hope tomorrow works out better mentally for you, I have had a few days like that myself!

I would carefully consider the credit card thing, using it as a buffer mught seem like a good idea, but there will no doubt be one month where you overspend on the groceries as you know you have the balance there...then you cant pay off the full amount...then there's one more thing to add to the cycle!

possibly tansfer over a credit card that is curently acquiring interest, then freeze the card itself...literally. That way you have the buffer you are looking for, but cant instantly access it on a whim...you can make sure that there is no other way before it defrests!!!

Anyway, hope you are feeling better tomorrow x

I think you are right kirsten - using it as a buffer is going to be dangerous.

So i'm going to do nothing with it. Just leave it empty. It will be handy to use for my expenses which always gets paid off anyway so i'll just leave things as they are.

Oh well. Complete waste of time but it WAS a good idea. in theory

Feeling lot more motivated again this week which is a good thing as have got lots to do this week.

Done scratchies and online banking. Got some of my wages in (NO not *those* wages! LOL)

Got lots to do as got DS' party this weekend.

    Plan for today is -

    1/cleaning list DONE
    2/work hours DONE
    3/washing YEP ONGOING...
    4/ironing  OH STARTED
5/send off form for my course
6/print off tickets for my mum
    7/food from stores YEP :o)
8/write shopping list for party food YEP :o)
    9/put photos in albums
    10/paperwork and filing
11/chase sky for Mr T voucher
    12/comps and freebies
    13/keep DS happy :DYEP :o)
    14/pay leccy bill
15/catch up on forum and update grocery challenge thread :o
    16/odd job list
    17/OH season ticket

Its a long list - My own fault for having such a nice relaxing weekend. LOL

We are going to borrow SIL's car from next month (she bought a car but doesn't have a full licence yet. she is only 18) as DS is starting preschool and i'll need the car to take him. The car needs MOT and tax so we said we would pay for 6 months tax if we can borrow it once its been MOT'd. Fair enough i think. Obviously we'll have to pay for the ins aswell! We are going to have to seriously think about getting another car as im going to need the car more. Just not sure where the money will come from! LOL. It will have to be a project for next year

we have been playing with the leccy monitor freebie we got. It is horrendous but we are running at about 65 a month so them setting it at 70 is ok i guess considering its summer atm. We have storage heaters (which aren't on atm) but i don't think we'll be able to afford to use them come winter. We have a coal fire so we'll have to use that - which will be fine i think. As we havent been here for a winter yet we will have to see how it goes i guess.

We are going to go to IKEA sometime and get some bits for the house to finish it off. DS needs a bed and they have some nice ones :D But it will have to wait until i get my work cheque in the bank

OH has begged for his season ticket for rugby. I have cracked :o Got to try and make him happy i guess and he will go anyway and just pay the ticket price so in that way it is MSE to get the season ticket its just its 250 quid  U can spread it over 10 months so thats okay. Every month we have about 35 surplus so my logic is it will come out of that and so won't affect anything. So need to sort this today for him ;)

    Right...will update later :D
