That will be a weight off your mind if you know that you're gonna be 'in the money!'

I agree that dvds are pretty pointless on ebay...unless there are none listed with the same title, which would probably increse what you get over and above the ilkes of amazon by quite a bit. I have found that quirky 5th sequels of stuff gets more simply because there are less available!

  • Yes Kirsten, point taken, my late DH has allsorts of weird and wonderful titles, I think I may be picking the wrong ones to list. He was big on war films and series, will have another rummage later.

Great strides are not always possible - sometimes we have to be content with paddling along. Frustrating though it may feel, you have to remember that there have been times in our lives where "paddling along" would actually have seemed pretty good!!

Hope you get some rest today x

  • I love my bed at the moment, so very dissapointed when the clock says 6.00am ! Really am catching up on some sleep. Work today, day off tomorrow. Have a very long list of what needs doing. Didn't do anything last night, both boys were out with their friends and I decided to switch the TV off and catch up with some reading. In bed by 9 again.

My attempts at £10 a day challenge petered off when visitors arrived. But as they wouldn't let me pay for anything things aren't too bad. A few hours of hard slog and I can get on with my real job, ironing, cleaning, cooking.......

Feeling thoughtful. Today one of my school friends has her Mother's funeral, and across the globe one of my work colleagues from the '90's ties the knot. It's an important date in both of their lives.

This going to sound silly, but I need September to start. Personal goals and targets to set and start on. I know anytime is a good time, but next week is so busy, I love having my children off, but feeling that after three different sets of visiting family,(2 down 1 to go) a month of school holidays I'm feeling jaded and want to be a little selfish. I don't mean to sound ungrateful. But don't want the momentum to slow on the debtbusting/decorating/job searching.

Ah well a days work ahead, then I look forward to an early night and a book I can't get my head out of...

Selfish is fine.......selfish is good - it means you are thinking about what you NEED!

I am having a similar week, too much happening and not enough HAPPENING if you know what i mean!

At least you have the mindset and know that you WILL find the time, and get sorted, its the main and most important thing! x

  • Well I have an exciting day planned ! Sewing the labels on uniform....I'm rubbish at sewing, so have a nice delivery from Lovefilm involving Leonardo :D.

Aside from that with visitors arriving Monday I've had a dig around the freezer - they are vegetarians - rejigged menu plan, my two don't mind eating veggie, just not every night, so it does mean extra cooking for me.
All I have to top up on is veggies and dog food. I know there will be the offer of eating out, but I really can't afford it, so will try and stand my ground. So I am pleased that I don't have to spend a fortune on food this week.

Now can someone please explain how a needle threader works ? Never ever understood them..

ETA: not feeding the visitors dog food - honest !

A needle threader  I always go for the "lick, squint, and aim" method myself :rotfl:
