LOL Kirsten and they say they don't understand us ....
PAF - great idea, sadly being as disorganised/untidy as I am it would end up being stuffed behind the sofa within weeks. The photo on the fridge thing is more my style...
Right. So after weeks of juggling work/children/visiting family I'm sitting in a house of horrors. So many little jobs to be done from finishing the name tag sewing to actually going through the pile of opened mail and either shredding it or responding to it. Piles of washing - no washing powder, ironing mountains, but it's all doable.
I am off the sauce for the best part of two months after a few evenings in the company of Stella Artois, which in turn will help the non smoker in me take over.
I keep banging on about September, well going to make a start now.DC.

Hi DC,
I have also got a house of horrors ( But I have ALWAYs got a house of horrors) . Kids go back to school on the 7th and as per usual I have left everything to the last minute again ( ie checking who needs new PE kits, trousers, shoes etc )... . I have been snowballing this morning and my DFD is coming as Feb2016 but my target is Mar 2015 ( when I will be 50) so I am feeling a little fed-up ....my debts don't seem to move at all. Back to the drawing board .
Have alovely weekend . Nearly September :j

7th is D-Day here too. But I had to get the shoe thing out of the way, I have been thee Mum driving around in some mad last minute shoe finding frenzy because everywhere has sold out !
I think the Summer puts a temporary squeeze on this debt busting, not just school uniform wise but the little things. I too am pretty static on the date, at the moment. Need to rejig.DC.

That is me ....every year ! DS1 & DS2 don't really need shoes yet as they needed to get some just before they broke up ( growing feet don't wait until end of term) but little DS def. needs them .! I really need to get them to try on their school trousers /jumpers . They are all in good condition but they may have grown a bit over the holidays (as they do) . I can pass down from DS1 to DS2 & DS1 . But as DS2 and DS3 are exactly the same size ( age 7 & 5
) once they have outgrown ...thats the end of the line.;)
Anyway , must get on ... got to take DS3 to footie training.

Hi Different Corner,
I've really enjoyed reading your diary. You are so honest!
Welcome to September. I started September today too, I was so over budget for August that I did a massive shop yesterday and concluded my totals after that. £200.00 over, and I had been doing so well for months. I never budget enough for school shoes/coats and all the visitor/visit spending, so can totally sympathise with you.
If I am very careful and menu plan, home cook everything etc the shop should see me through most of September and i'll get back on track. I'm going to spend the next hour finalising month/week goals. I am also pulling together a weekly timetable, like my DS has for school to try and keep me organised.
Here's to a successful September :beer:I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
scrooge, I am doing a timetable too, printing it and displaying it for DS to moan if im not sticking to it!
School here went back last week, forgot gym bag so poor thing had his kit and nothing to put it in lol oooops!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Ooh all so organised with your timetables, I have yet to finish a spreadsheet for one month - ever ! I do have a pukka notepad in my kitchen draw that I write my lists/menu plans/todo stuff. It's a hotchpotch of notes but gets things done.
Scrooge here's to a sassy September. After visitors I again had fridge full of food but nothing to eat IYSWIM ! Back on the Menu plan trail, always a challenge for me, sticking to a food budget, yet to be under budget.
Will be dusting off the slow cooker next week, as much as I love cooking it's so convienient coming home and having it all done. Really want some good veggie and bean recipes for it. Haven't had much luck finding anything on the OS board.
Kirsten, oh PE Kits...the tales I have to tell. One year I didn't see DS1's from October to Feb.....seriously !
I'm procrastinating here as the next load of washing is waiting to be hung, and the ironing mountain really does beckon..DC.
