Weather is also dire here in Hampshire . I was so cold here last night I even considered putting the heating on:eek:.
Off to buy school trousers ( they have ALL grown:rolleyes:) . DS3 has football this afternoon so hope the weather brightens up.
Have a lovely day. Its September tomorrow:j

Morning
40SM - Hope the footie went well. I used to love watching DS2 play for the local youth team, and DH was a true touchline Dad - ahem. DS2 quit last year - was forever a sub and the away matches were always hours away. Shame took the fun out of it for him.
Anyway, 1st September, azure blue sky after a dire day weather wise yesterday.
Mini challenge - £450 to shift from Marbles in 30 days to reach the £6900 mark. A few small payments due in from Quidco, amazon and the like will add it all up later.
Plans ? Lists ! I have a head full of to do things, need to get them on paper. And maybe on here..
Need more tea...DC.

I love lists! I don't seem to be able to function without having written it down first. Then there is the crossing out and the rewards. I am always too good to myself, which was probably the root problem, behind my expanding waistline and diminishing wealth.
But not any more. Sassy September will see us all achieving our goals. Self discipline, focus and positive attitude. (Is there an easier way?)
Looking to you to set the lead DC.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Okay, been a busy bee.
There is an area in our utility room which has become the graveyard for old shoes. Bearing in mind I am terrified of anything eight legged, DS1 helped me sorting old trainers and school shoes out for recycling. He soon got bored but it was an inroad.
There are two pairs of football boots that were extortionate prices when originally purchased and I'm probably still paying for them, but I reckon I can clean them up and ebay them.
Mowed lawns, then the heavens opened, pottered around the house, crossed little jobs off mega lists !
Haven't made any money today though...well not yet, there's still time.DC.

Oh Scrooge - me take the lead...well I'm not the assertive sort, bit shy actually ! Anyway spurred on by our dear Hypno's egg victory I am putting every 'eggstra' to the beast that is Marbles in this mini challenge. Works out at about £15 a day. So Quidco and Amazon sales add up to £15.08, that's day one !
Am very skint for the next 2 days, wrote a cheque to the school at the end of last term that still hasn't been paid in, it is highly likely they will cash it today leaving me with £4.37...
Had a few days off with the boys, and now return to work today, making a 2 day week. Last week there was a lot of moaning going on, it's a bit of a reptitive theme (hence another reason for moving on) the moans and groans are all very petty. I shall avoid or smile sweetly and make like I'm busy. Can't do negative in sassy September !
Today I will finish the sewing of name tags !DC.

I know what you feel about the cheque being cashed - I wrote a cheque for DD's China trip on the last day of term, and it still hasn't been cashed - but it is £1200 and I have to be soooo careful not to spend it out of the current account!!
I don't know why they haven't cashed it, and DD doesn't go back to school until next week, so another week of being mega careful in that account!
